I hate to be negative, and I'm hoping my review doesn't scare off any of the target audience in the area--I doubt that it will--but the food was bland. I've had my share of phô. My wife is Asian, and our (now adult) kids are used to a variety of international foods. My wife, son, and I each got a different variety of phô, and we have another son--special needs; doesn't eat phô well--chicken fried rice. All of the phô dishes were rather lacking in flavor, and the fried rice frankly was as well. But the place had a number of diners who, we noted, would probably not be the normal Vietnamese food crowd, and it made sense to us: the owners have to do it this way to appeal to the Pleasant Grove demographic. So, good for them, and glad the owners figured out what will work to stay in business there. But if you really want GOOD phô, make a trip to the northern part of the Salt Lake Valley to just south of 1700 S Main St--I won't say the name of the place here. There's a no-apologies, take-it-or-leave-it small restaurant in an old house that doesn't care about making a living from it--the owner and her staff are all retired ladies--but you'll "take" it because the broth is top-notch, and you won't worry that there's hardly anything else...

Ordered some pho and spring rolls to-go. I appreciated how kind the man over the phone was when I placed my order. My order was ready to picked up at the time I scheduled it for.

My broth needed to be reheated when I got home (I live 5 minutes away). The meats (I ordered the special) were in a container with all of the toppings. The basil had a some brown leaves on it which I couldn't eat. The meat was reheated as well before putting it in the broth. The noodles did kind of stick together and there were actually some different types of noodles mixed in that I had to pick out as the texture was very strange...almost kind of spiked?

The spring rolls were great. Super fresh. Good quality and the peanut dipping sauce was so good!

The pho was extremely flavorful and really tasty. I didn't really care for the meatballs as they were rubbery and didn't taste fresh.

I think I would definitely be back but not order the...

Was really craving some pho, and stumbled upon this spot. Crossed my fingers and realized this might be the best pho I’ve had in Utah, thus far. I ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee and the Pho No. 1 Special. The coffee was bittersweet and strong and tasted authentic! I was quite impressed by the broth, it was very clean and wasn’t overloaded with a lot of msg flavoring like other pho places ive tried in utah!! It tasted very clean and refreshing and the noodles were intact, nice and chewy! The portion was also pretty good for its price. The staff were very friendly. It seemed like there was only one main waiter, and he was super attentive despite it being a bit busy. I asked if i could get my bean sprouts steamed and he got it done quickly. Additional brownie points for good music (subjective)! Planning to come back again when im...

The ambiance of the place is certainly eclectic. That is charming, but also less than ideal for a Vietnamese place. For example, there is traditional art, but they also have horseshoes hanging over every table. The walls are covered in strong Kermit-the-Frog green and tangerine orange paint. Overall, this is what we love about mom-and-pop shops, but they could step it up a little. The spring rolls were quite disappointing. They were small and filled with mostly iceberg lettuce. We ordered the house special, pho no. 1. The presentation was okay, but I couldn't find a spoon in the ginormius utility tray at the end of our table. My first slurp of the pho was surprisingly bland. I wanted my spice and zest. Don't get me wrong, it was good, just lacking.
