There's a new sheriff in town. I don't think anyone is doing better in the valley. I just learned about this place following a Yelp friends feed. They claim BBQ, not Texas BBQ, or Memphis BBQ, et al. Let me get the good stuff out of the way. Some of the best brisket ever I got was in he French Dip with fatty end brisket. Wow. Best I've had. The fries were no slouch. They were crispy with soft interiors. They had just the right amount of salt -- and they were hot. They did not require fry sauce. The wife got the two meat basket. It was ribs and pulled pork. The ribs did not need sauce. The smoke and rub came through. They were a bit too fall of the bone for competition, and my preference, but that's a minor quibble. The pulled pork was pulled and very good. The coleslaw was excellent. However, the menu said Texas Toast, and it was a dinner roll. We also got the Apple turnover with ice cream for desert. It was the best desert I've ever had at a fast casual restaurant.
Now to the BBQ sauces. I'm impressed they cover all the major styles, including a credible mustard sauce and vinegar sauce. Both these are essential to the pulled pork depending on your favorite BBQ region. The spicy sauces aren't really that spicy hot. Except for the Vinegar sauce there is a mountain of sugar in all of them. That's the first flavor that hits your palate, and often the one that finished it. It's great to see them all at the table. With a spoon, or finger, you can squeeze a little out and taste them before use.
One thing that threw me off is the differentiation between St. Louis ribs and Spare ribs. I had though them basically the same thing. There was baby backs and spare ribs. St. Louis was synonymous with spare ribs. I needed to do some research. Turns out St. Louis ribs are spare ribs with the rib tip cut off. That;s my learning moment from that day.
A five star place, but only four stars? Well, since Pat's and R&R and perhaps others started serving beer with the BBQ, I just can't hand out that last star when the most important side to...
Read moreI wish I could give them more stars but we have been here 3 times now and the quality of their food and attention to detail just keeps going down. The first time we went the food tasted great, just had slow service. That is understandable considering they were short staffed at the time. The next time we went my burger was great. I got the tropical burger. However, all the fries we got were soggy, cold and old. They were a far cry from what they had been just a week before. The third, and most likely last time for my family eating here, was yesterday. They messed up my husband's order and we took it back in. They did fix it, however, it took a long time to just get us the cornbread and pork rib they left off his plate. The cornbread was super soggy and not fully cooked, it was doughy on top. As for my hamburger, I ordered the American cheeseburger which came with nothing but the burger, lettuce and cheese. According to their menu, it was supposed to come with tomato, pickle, lettuce and onion. The burger was very fatty and gross this time, not charbroiled and tasty like the other 2 times we have gone. Also, I got the rubbed fries and they were so over seasoned that they were inedible. Again they were old and soggy too, but it was the seasoning that put me off as I could not even eat them. It was like they dumped the entire bottle of seasoning on them. I called in to let them know all of this and give them a chance to make it right. The hostess apologized and just kept saying that the printer was out of ink and not working properly so my order had to be hand written. She also said that the chef seemed busy and flustered and that was why the food was not good. She said the manager would call me, but I never heard from them. I would not recommend this place as their attention to taste and detail is just non existent. The quality and taste has...

Visiting from Idaho! My husband and I recently had the pleasure of dining at Holy Grill BBQ Restaurant, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.
From the moment I walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere made me feel right at home. The rustic decor and friendly staff set the perfect tone for what was to come.
The menu is a BBQ lover's dream. I started with the smoked brisket, and pulled pork which was melt-in-your-mouth delicious with a perfect balance of smokiness and tenderness. The ribs were equally impressive, falling off the bone and bursting with flavor. The homemade sauces added just the right amount of tangy and spicy notes.
The sides were also outstanding. The mac and cheese was creamy and rich, the coleslaw was fresh and crisp, and the cornbread had just the right amount of sweetness. Each dish complemented the main courses perfectly.
The service was top-notch. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring our drinks were never empty. The food arrived promptly and was served hot, which is always a plus.
Holy Grill BBQ also has a great selection of local craft beers, which paired wonderfully with the meal. My husband particularly enjoyed the Bel’s Fury Red Ale which was recommended by our server.
Overall, Holy Grill BBQ Restaurant exceeded my expectations in every way. If you're a BBQ enthusiast or just someone who appreciates great food and outstanding service, I highly recommend giving this place a try. You won't be...
