District BBQ Bristow — Restaurant in Linton Hall

Decided to stop here for dinner. If you've read any of my reviews, you know how I am about BBQ! So.... upon entry I noticed the place was really clean so that's one star. It wasn't busy as I went around 2:30 that afternoon. I could smell the bbq when I got inside and I was so hoping it tasted as good as it smelled! I did love the old school park bench tables inside, but not conducive for a single person or for a couple. I kept it simple; I ordered the half slab ribs and fries. They came wrapped up in foil to keep the temp and moisture in them. When I opened it up, I was not disappointed! They looked fantastic! I could see the smoke in the meat and they were really tender! The fries were hot, crispy and very tasty and you get plenty of them! The ribs were pre-cut but we're still connected to show that they were a slab and not pre-cut and cooked pieces of ribs. If you've been to low end BBQ places, you know what I mean. So as far as the meal goes, that's two stars. Drink selection was the norm and you can get your choice of 4 different BBQ sauces from their dispensary. The individual that took my order was nice and professional and the price was, so there's three stars. I didn't go to their restroom to see it so that's not going to get a star. Sorry, just didn't go. Over all, not a bad place to eat.... good food....good price....clean and in a good location. Good job.....over...

Clean. Friendly. Lots of room. Love the light smokey smell. The sauces had good flavor, but overall I think could pack more 🥊 in the flavor. The xxxloco I thought was well balanced in flavor and heat. Overall the meat could be more moist. The pork could be more shredded. Flavor was also light- one thing I really appreciated was the natural smoke flavor- it was present but not overwhelming and authentic. - I have not experienced that anywhere else. Not a fan of the chicken in plastic wrap. That was a PITA. A brined and smoked chicken would be nice. Not so sure either about the puddle of oil or grease coming off the brisket. Chicken and brisket were tender. This was the first time I've been able to eat here since they started moving in some years ago. Nice to Finally check...

Don't let the austere interior setup fool you, this place has good BBQ, decent sides and very good sauces. Our family tried the ribs, brisket, burnt ends, pulled chicken and smoked wings. My favorites were the ribs and burnt ends. Brisket is sliced fairly thin. All had a good smokey flavor without overdoing it. It also tasted good later when cold, which is a sign of good BBQ. The fries with the BBQ seasoning were very good and went well with the ribs. Cheesy mashed potatoes were good but not over the top. Beans were pretty good. The cornbread is great and you get a nice sized piece!

Sauces were GOOD.

All in all, this is a great alternative to the existing BBQ options in the area and you definitely will leave feeling full! Glad we...
