Waffle House — Restaurant in Lithia Springs

Called and ordered to go plate and once there had a friend call to say they would meet me there and if I would go ahead and order their food as well so I asked the server to add another plate to my order and she acted like it was an inconvenience to her for me adding to my order but she placed the order and I asked for a water and a lg coffee while I waited for my friend to arrive. Once there, they wanted a coffee as well and you would have thought we was killing her she was very disrespectful and was saying that we ordered food to go and then we wanted drinks and coffee and we should have just came in to order but then when confronted about her attitude she stated that it is what it is and she would be sure not to get us as customers again and I told her I wanted to speak to a manager and she said there wasnt a manager there and the next manager would be.there at 7am but it wouldnt matter to her if we told the manager or not!! She was being very racist like we were in the wrong location because of skin color and that she didnt have time to be waiting on us so I asked to pay my check and told her to keep the change which was only like a dollar and some change and we had started eating our food out of the to go plates and my friend asked for their drinks that we previously ordered that she never brought. She was really hateful then and was rolling her eyes and was not very friendly at all at that point because of the small tip but had I paid her more we would have never got a drink or more of her bad.service period!! But had she been professional and not been racist and very rude she would have gotten a lot more of a tip when we left, but being a server myself for 25 years she got more than what she deserved and I started to ask for my change back!! Her attitude towards her customers was inappropriate, and she should be reprimanded and if she doesnt want to do her job and serve customers then she should find another job and definitely give someone else the job she...

Usually we have really great service and enjoy our meal, the staff is usually very attentive and concerned about our comfort. but I think tonight might be our last night, at this particular location or any Waffle House. If in fact the information relayed to us, by the shift manager (10 p.m. February 5th 2018)is correct. I'm going to contact their GM for verification; that it is the intention of the Waffle House;" it's not only to serve food fast but to have the customer move as quickly as possible, that is why they keep the store so cold. That that is the way it is in the restaurant industry" I informed him that because I am a restaurant owner myself, it is not my intention to make any of my customers uncomfortable in any way and no matter how long they stay they are in fact my welcome guests and hopefully I will have an opportunity to make them as comfortable...

1 of the cooks, derrick, is fantastic! he made my food so fast and it tasted great. the issue with this place wasn't the service, it was a woman on the grill named Q. She was really disrespectful to the other employees in front of all the customers. She even fussed out a customer getting a delivery order. She was making fun of one of the servers who is only 19 and was doing a good job and being extremely disrespectful toward the Army vet that works there. I said something but clerly the manager doesn't care. Only reason I go there is for the enviroment of the other employees and the food derrick cooks at night.
