New China Restaurant — Restaurant in Douglasville

Its been awhile, the food and service use to be amazing. Today was the absolute worse chinese food experience I've ever had. Called in the order at 6:24pm, was told the order would be ready in 10 to 15 mins. The cashier who was also assisting with the food preparation, would come to the front desk answer the phone, and let me know that it was coming. I received my order at exactly 7:28pm. Afterward I inquired about a free drink for my waiting, was informed that a drink didn't come with the food. I let her know what was promised in 15 mins has been over an hour. After another customer yelled out, you should most certainly give him a free drink, she said that she couldn't, I then requested my money back. She changed her tune, okay! Get a drink. Got home looked at the food and bill. The general TSO's chicken was old and tasteless, crab rangoon also old, order called for egg fried rice, there wasn't any egg. (egg in the picture is some from the shrimp fried rice) I also order shrimp fried rice added egg. Would you believe they charged me $2.00 for one egg added. THIS PLACE NEEDS TO CLOSE THEIR DOORS, complete disappointing! I realized my drink taste very flat. Viewed the bottle, drink expired on July 25, 2022. Today is August 5, 2022. I am fairly new to the neighborhood. I love Chinese and mot certainly wanted to find one close to home. This location is less than 5 minutes away. At this point I have frequented the restaurant at least 5 times. The husband is always friendly and usually so is the wife unless you ask more than one question. At that point her friendly manner typically goes on vacation. My main concern though is the portion size. This is the first Chinese restaurant I have dined at anywhere that the eggroll is put inside of a compartment in the box so as not to give you too much rice. * Usually at most places if you don't get anything else you get plenty of rice.They are extremely frugal on the entrée portions and provide just enough to get by. I have tried both lunch specials and dinner. Even with dinner there aren't any leftovers-not if you are hungry. The taste of the food is decent but because I feel like I am not getting my money's worth (price point not on par) my search for good Chinese in my area will have...

They're like family. And they're very nice people. Best value's lunch and they have lunch prices seven days a week. I'm a to go person. I've been knowing this family since 2004. Food might be a little high but not that high-I can get better deal here and Popeye's would be more, and so's KFC (I used them as price comparison because I eat Moo goo gai pan all the time, (White chicken, vegetables like broccoli, water chestnuts, snow peas, bamboo shoot, onion, mushroom in white sauce) They're real flexible and allow you to get whatever sauce you want on the dish you order. Some days my food so hot, I wait for it to cool off. And they use hamburger in their egg roll. I'm not sure if its just beef you have to ask. No delivery, but I still eat here. It's not too many restaurants that Chinese food is really good! This is best tasting in Lithia Springs. Never had a problem with my food. UPDATE December 2021: Food only to go. Food still good.
