I want to talk about the Positives, Charlie the server was Great, Friendly, and Super attentive…. He did an excellent job at Breaking down the menu, I’m an executive chef, an award winning, well known chef in the region who is known for His food and can tell you I understand food from all over the world, I’ve met a lot of people who’ve tried this restaurant, I will visit again, But Mainly for the outdoor atmosphere, it’s a great place to sit outside, look at great scenery, and enjoy The downtown vibe
Grace brought out the Meatball sandwich, Wow, She was so super friendly, the young lady at the door who was the “Greeter” could take a page from Her book, Grace has 100% an awesome personality, she even Kindly introduced Herself as the manager and thanked Me for some kind words I’d exchanged with Her, She was the Picture of someone you’d want to manage a restaurant, She gets customer service and interactions with Guests, she’s really spectacular I hope this establishment realizes the gem they have In Her
I also would like to recognize Devon, Wow, anyone who has the opportunity to have him visit their table is Exceptionally lucky, In the two minutes He spent delivering some of their signature hot sauce to my table, He was on par with Grace, Spectacular personality, He was the kind of people person, who had the down to Earth qualities you need in a restaurant, He was friendly, Super Warm, Welcoming, and Helpful, The Restaurant is very lucky to have him, He’s another one who They would be very smart to continually promote him for every advancement and opportunity they could, I can recognize a star employee when I see one And it’s usually because of all the non-employee stuff you can’t train, you either “have it or you don’t” and He has it to spare, Between He and Grace, I’d Let them run the show and if I’m being kind, or Helpful in any way which let’s be honest, A review that just sings praises does no favors without suggestion, I don’t do or believe in negativity, so, I’ll just say and I hope the restaurant can really understand this, There’s a stiffness, a rigidity there that almost felt uncomfortable or pretentious, Or a disjointed identity, maybe it’s still finding itself, But let’s just say There’s restaurants that deserve to take themself so seriously, this is Italian, in Lititz, in Pennsylvania, People Here Are affluent, but, they also have a Heart of Gold, If it has a chef who “takes themselves very seriously” I hope they can Find the time to have “fun” with their food and presentations, There’s knowledge, But there’s also Serving that with “more” I think that element that’s missing is the fun, The only glimmer of seeing something special I saw in the restaurant, something worth returning for…. That thing, or moreover the people that will give this place Hope or could set it apart were Devon, Grace, and Charles, these should be the model of What the personality of this restaurant can and should be, The Chef made food that was a good value for what they probably pay in rent, I tried a little of everything, the pizza was Very good, But It’s Devon, Grace, and Charles who were The Very, very Best and Make for something special that I hope the owners of this restaurant really look at, and Reward with every opportunity they deserve, personally, I’d Have Grace who is the manager, make Devon Her assistant and somewhere between Devon and Charles, Train the rest of the House On What the personality and knowledge of this restaurant could be or should be, because While Grace I can tell has the overall smarts and can carry this, Devon and Charles could really set a grand culture Here that carries something special worth...
Read moreI didn’t get to try the food so I am only reviewing the service. The way we were treated by the server was HORRENDOUS. There were only 3 other tables with customers in the restaurant yet we sat for 10 minutes without being greeted or drink orders being taken. We watched a couple come in and sit at the bar 10 minutes after us and have their order taken. I went to ask the front about it and they apologized and went to get our server. Rather than coming over to apologize the server went to the other two tables to check on them, went back behind the register and then proceeded to come to our table, clearly annoyed, no apology, rather with an attitude that we were an inconvenience to him. I said “that was 15 minutes” to which he said “what? Do you want to eat here?”. I told him we were not going to be served by him and that we were leaving but I wanted to see a manager first. He proceeded to say there were no managers on duty and I needed to come back tomorrow. I went to the front and asked another employee for the manager, to which they went and got the manager on duty. The hostile server than took a picture of me. The manager came out, and heard me out. He made a comment that he “hears my side of the story”. He didn’t apologize for how we were treated until I pointed out that he hadn’t apologized for the service we received. The response from the manager was subdued and it was hard to feel that it was genuine rather than placating. The manager saw us off with a “I hope you will give us another try”. Read moreMy boyfriend and I were excited to try this place, especially since they have been getting rave reviews after only newly opening. Unfortunately, we were left appalled by the lack of customer service.
I saw their instagram post so I called at 4pm to see if they were busy and they said they were not busy whatsoever, so went tonight and were seated at 4:30pm. At this point in time there are only three other tables with guests eating. We’re waiting for a bit and then 10 minutes later a girl comes over and says she isn’t our server but came to give us water. After about 5 more minutes another couple comes in and is sat, and only a few minutes after that a server takes their order (we still haven’t been served yet). Then finally at 5pm another couple comes in and is sat and served right away get we still never even placed drink orders. At this point we have sat there, with just water and our menus for 30 minutes and not one person came by to help us or even let us know they’d be with us shortly. We literally got up and just left because no one was helping us. The most frustrating part of that is the fact the restaurant barely had tables sat and there were 6+ employees who clearly saw us sitting there and never once came over. All of the employees were standing around and just talking.
It was a real shame we weren’t served and had to leave. I wish I could leave a review on the food because it looked delicious, so hopefully they can improve on their customer service so this doesn’t...
