It's not my habit to complain openly about businesses, but my wife and I have were very disappointed with the poor customer service at Hollander Coffee/Brewing Company. We had just had a great time at Saint Boniface Brewing and decided to knock off another brewery on our Lancaster Brewer's Guild 2024 passport by stopping in at Hollander. The atmosphere walking into Hollander is nice and includes an attractive bar area. there, which we sat at. There were 4 young women working behind the bar. We waited for more 15 minutes while the servers attended to several other customers at the register, but never took the time to even acknowledge our presence or ask us to seek service at the register. The location was not super busy and there were several times when no one was standing at the register, allowing time for the servers to interact with patrons at the bar, but they did not. At some point we did see the there was a digital code to access the menu and we decided to attempt to use this. the menu on TOAST did include beer, but did not have any way to order a flight which was listed on the hard copy menu of which multiple copies were placed on the bar. We finally became so disappointed that we got up and left without any acknowledgement from the staff. I realize that this is a coffee shop as well as a brewery, but as long as there is a bar present for the brewery the servers should provide some degree of attention to those individuals at the bar. At the very least they should be offering suggestion to come to the register if that's the only place where orders can be made. As a Lancaster Brewers Guild passport holders my wife and I are disappointed that we will not be able to complete the passport this year, but we would rather forego the merchandise then suffer the poor customer service. Unfortunately, we cannot speak to the quality of any of the items at Hollander as we never received the service necessary to...
Read moreI am writing this review after a particularly bad visit. This was our 3rd visit there in the last two weeks. Obviously, we had a good first two visits. On this visit we decided to use the at table ordering system. It was very busy and it took about 30 minutes for our hot mocha lattes to come out. Mine was barely hot, but I did not mind that so much. Then 5 minutes after we received the lattes, we thought, "why is it taking so long for our scones?" So i went up to the counter to ask about the scone and I was told they were out of scones an they would be happy to refund us for the scones. I glanced at the display case and they were out of just about everything, so I told her we were having breakfast here, I get a menu to see what else we want and come back. We decided on two breakfast sandwiches and I waited in line to have my order corrected and place the order for the sandwiches. The cashier corrected the order and asked me to pay, but the system would not take apple pay or my credit card, so she said she would just put the order through. Ten minutes later a waitress shows up at our table with another latte. We told her we did not order another latte. Five minutes after that, I decided I should check on our sandwiches. The waitress said she would check on them and returned 30 seconds later with our sandwiches. As we are eating our sandwiches, another waitress shows up with another dish we did not order and said it was ordered for our table. I told her we did not order that even though the name on the slip was my name. She looked confused and walked away. I think they have some kinks to work out in their system. Today's visit was not...
Read moreI had such a great experience at New Holland Coffee Company in Lititz, PA — easily one of the best coffee shops I’ve ever been to.
From the moment I walked in, the vibe was warm and inviting. The space is cozy without feeling cramped, and you can tell a lot of care went into creating a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed happy to be there, which made the whole experience feel even better.
I ordered [insert your favorite item if you’d like!], and it was absolutely delicious — full of flavor, clearly made with high-quality ingredients, and prepared with care. Their coffee is top-tier: smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. Whether you’re just stopping in for a quick cup or settling in for a relaxing morning, it’s the kind of place you’ll want to return to again and again.
You can tell this isn’t just another chain coffee spot — it has real personality and heart. If you’re ever in Lititz, New Holland Coffee Company is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be...
