Metro Express — Restaurant in Lititz

Reminds you of a dirty kitchen in a camp ground that’s been shut down due to.. lack of cleanliness. My real problem though is the service. I ordered pizzas and fries and when I went in to pick it up (on time) I was told my fries weren’t ready yet and I heard the employees arguing for a moment in front of me. I have to give them credit for their honesty as I’m not sure I would’ve wanted to be as honest in this situation but they informed me my fries WERE ready but the delivery driver wasn’t sure I was coming and ended up eating them.

WOW I cannot believe the lack of professionalism and not to mention just the fact that one of the employees would EAT SOMEONE ELSES ORDER as they work. Eating on the job? Sure. Eating an order that has not been picked up after an hour or two? Ok maybe. But I was 5 minutes early to pick up and they ate my order. I really question whether or not they eat the food while they wait and if anyone gets their full order of sides if it wouldn’t be noticed if someone picked at it.

It’s gross and unprofessional and all I got for my trouble was a ‘the fryer is still on I think. If you wait five minutes or so we can make you more’ Umm… thank you?……. No. Won’t be...

I have been going to this Metro Express since it opened and have always recommended this store to others. The store used to be very efficient and the product very consistent. Recently that has changed and the pizzas never taste the same depending who is making them.

I ordered a Hawaiian pizza which we used to get regularly that was loaded with ham, pineapple and the two cheeses. Tonight it was drowning in so much sauce the toppings slid right off and all you could taste was sauce. The pineapple and ham were barely there. If I had wanted an oversauced cheese pizza, I would have ordered one.

I have had many Hawaiian pizzas from this store, and I know what they look like, and I know what they taste like. That is why I ordered one this evening. This did not look anything like anyone I have ever had before and you could not taste anything but the sauce.

Rather than offer to make a new pizza, the manager said that's what they look like despite the fact that I have never had one that was that bad. I asked for my money back and was obliged.

With the lack of consistency in the product, and the attitude of the manager, I believe Metro Express lost a long-term...

I usually always go through metro for take out pizza or birthday parties. I now have changed my mind. I recently held a birthday party and I called in around 3 hours prior to place an order to be delivered at a specific time. Well they were a half hour late my kids were all hungry and this is a PARTY!! You call ahead to place an order so it's on time. So when I called to check in to see where the delivery was the girl on the phone was RUDE and told me that it's COMMON SENSE that it's to be ten minutes late. What???? So I asked to speak to a manager so the next girl on duty got on the phone and was rude again saying well it's to be expected that it's late and that the driver left and will be there soon. I was so unhappy with both of these girls. They should not be working there due to the lack of customer service. I then approached the driver and found out that this driver left but saw the delivery sitting there no one said anything to take it!!! So when the driver got back it was still there and then they brought it out to us. I will no longer deal with metro for anything or recommend metro. You need to get your customer service...
