American Pie Pizza — Restaurant in Little Rock

First time visiting. Impressed. Not too crowded, food came fast. Ordered sandwich and a salad instead of pizza, but good stuff. The mufaletta. Served on hot bread. What I liked was good ingredients, flavor, and most of all that it wasn't greasy. Almost every time I get a sandwich on toasted or crispy bread, it's like they almost fried the stuff. I am wierd about grease, if I have to eat with my hands and it's greasy, I just feel nasty until I take a shower or at least wash my hands and face a million times. Plus it's fattening...tasty but fat. So when they gave me a fresh, toasty sandwich that wasn't over done and stacked with ingredients I could actually taste, I was quite impressed. Also like that if you want a salad to go with your food, but don't want a huge specialty salad, nor do you want a house salad thsts just basically iceberg lettuce (basically water...not much going on nutrition wise) and dressing - well they have the solution. All of their special or "fancy' salads come in 3 sizes. They even have a spinach Gouda and killer Caesar. So I can save a few bucks and get something out of my salad other than dressing. Otherwise I wouldn't even eat one lol. Also waitress was not rude, nor was she all cheesy and overdoing it. She just came by when needed and kept up with what we ordered etc, and with consistency. We never had to wait on her and she got the orders right. Trying the pizza next time. They sure looked good, and cool selection too. Don't know why I never heard of this place before, but happy we found it and went. Apparently there is one in North Little Rock as well, on north hills a little past Lakewood shopping center. Somewhere near there. If your into a reasonably quick served, made to order, and quality pizza and sub place with some flavor; that won't leave you feeling grimy afterwards - this is your place. This place used to be the place to go when my husband and I wanted pizza or a big salad. Over the years it's gone down but I didn't want to give up on them just yet. Well I think I do now. I'm pregnant with cravings so we eat at or order from here at least twice a month. This is the 4th time we have ordered for pick up (either online or call in) and the order has either been wrong, aren't given something we paid for or the pizza hasn't been as good. My husband went to get our order, and this is the third time the extra house dressing (that he loves) we paid/ordered for has not been given. My husband even asked upon pick up for it and the gentleman insisted the small portion that is for the salad was the extra portion we ordered. My husband didn't want to argue after a long day and we came home and I gave him my salad dressing for him to use for his pizza. Then the pizza wasn't crunchy, it was odd and almost stale like. This is not the first time this has happened. The lettuce isn't the same it used to be, just bagged iceberg so my husband won't order it anymore. I hate to say it but I agree with my husband and I don't think we will order...

Called my order in, they told me 20 to 25 min. I showed up in 22 min it was already done.

I got a med Is pepperoni and cheese. They told me 10" it seemed small slices but loaded up with meat.

I also got wings, when I opened them they were super hot and fresh. Flavor was "ok", probably would be better if the quality if the chicken was better. Very fatty feeling. This could be the wing or the fried chicken grease was not fresh?? Still tasty and hot, and very large slats and wings. Good mix of pieces. The BBq was flavorful, and the lemon pepper popped. To be honest it would have been better if they were pulled from grease let drain or paper towelled off before adding the flavoring. This would mean the wing would come to you not as hot. Not sure how the trade off would end up.

Got Diet Pepsi 2 litter. Nothing smaller like 16oz and only Pepsi, diet Pepsi, Mt dew no Pepsi max or other choices They offered 12oz redbulls in flavors nice addition.

Everyone one was friendly, fairly talkative, respectful and animated. This is refreshing to see again in any restaurant.
