Cuisine Of China — Restaurant in Little Rock

I've been going to this establishment for many years. When I was working on geyer springs I literally got their buffet to go daily! Back then it was wonderful. Past recent years I can't patron this restaurant as frequently because the distance is too far. But I do manage to go once every month. The quality of food is there is no quality! It's obvious what wasn't consumed one day on the buffet was recycled and not just recycled it was so old and so tough it was not edible. What's really funny I don't usually complain but lunch buffet is really pricy and if I'm unable to eat the old as dirt food then yes I will call to say I was disappointed. It's hysterical there is an immediate language barrier when you have a complaint. I'm sure hung up on "accidentally" of course but called back and was severely frustrated when lady on the phone seemed to not understand me and I definitely didn't understand a word she said. It was completely obvious she didn't care at all! I was informed that no one complained about the food yesterday except me of course.... funny I understand that sentence perfectly. Lol Give me a break!! If you run a business you are not going to please everyone but one little ole person that would be me. Jokes on you I will bring my receipt and demand a refund will not bring the to go container that's in the bottom of my garbage can! Doesn't make sense and I can't be silenced because you're acting like you don't know what I say. See ya soon! I did offer to actually bring the container as well as the old food that was not eaten! I'm sure it will be a battle to get my hard earned money back so nice when collecting your money after that don't seem to care or have any concern. Just NO ONE ELSE...

This restaurant looks like one of those bad restaurants that needs to be on one of Gordon Ramsay's kitchen nightmares shows. Me and my husband were afraid that we would get food poisoning from the little bit that we did have. The food tasted like it was expired. Freezer burned and the rice tasted like dishwater. It was a really strange taste. Even the fortune cookies they gave us tasted like it was expired just hard and crunchy. The dessert table had little bitty muffins that were so dry that my 4-year-olds would not touch it. My husband eats everything like a human vacuum cleaner and if he's not eating something then it must be very bad. We weren't there long and she told us that the bill would be $40 and there was no way we were going to pay $40 for something like that. They discounted it to 33 which I was very upset with. The cashier told me that they are busy and use that as an excuse for how poorly the food was. I didn't want to make a scene or have the police get called for fighting over the bill so we just paid and left. We will not be back again and how this place is still open with all these similar reviews is beyond me. Do not go here! Unsanitary and they are not preparing the food correctly. You will end up getting sick. I was also told that no one else complained about the food, but from what I see in the reviews plenty of people are complaining and have stated the same thing that they were told that no one else complained. I started eating Chinese food at this location back in 1988 when a coworker recommended it not sure if the same family has owned it all these years or not but the food and service have always been great, I stopped eating here in 2020 when I came real close to dying from food poisoning, I left work early the next day with a 104° fever, diarrhea, stomach cramps and nausea, I then spent the next 4 days in bed trying to keep my fever down in an intense sweat. The Health Department said they would make another visit but never did as their reports are available online and the previous reports for this restaurant were shocking by the way, employees placing their jackets on the rice, thawing meat in the hand washing sink, etc. I doubt I'll ever return after that. Check restaurant reports with the Health Department online before you choose a restaurant and be careful out there because the last time all the food tasted great too, you just never know. Also like others have mentioned they offer all you can eat but try to over charge you and the atmosphere has never been very good particularly with people screaming Chinese back and forth, but they have always had the best Chinese food in Litte Rock.
