Red Doors customer service towards it's delivery drivers is way below par. I do gig work for delivery services in the area and have been to this restaurant a few times. I typically stay away from orders from this restaurant because they never come out on time, thus, delaying me making money. The last time I picked up from there will hopefully be the last. When I showed up the individual working the front told me the order was almost done and would be out shortly. After a ten min wait I was told they made the eggs wrong and had to restart the order. So, I waited. Then, I got to over hear from two of the employees how funny it was for me to wait. After a 20 mins wait, over 5 mins of the wait was spent staring at the food sitting in the window, the food finally came out to me. I was slightly upset with the restaurant and didn't have much to say to them when I was leaving. If ya don't have anything nice to say... The individual that handed me the order told me to have a nice day and I didn't say anything. As I'm walking out the door they repeated the statement one more time and one more time I didn't reply. Now, I've made it out the door and down the stairs and the individual followed me out to then tell me I was rude. I still didn't reply. What was all that for? Not saying it back? What if I was deaf or hard of hearing? And then, why would I be friendly to people who have not been to me? Not once was I asked how I was doing or anything of that nature. ZERO niceties towards me. And, as a gig worker, I get asked where's a good place to eat by a lot of people and I will now have to tell them of the poor service they will receive by individuals who work at...
Read moreI wouldn't comment if I did not see that others have made similar comments in the past few weeks. I have had dinner at The Red Door several times in the past five years. It was always perfect. Unfortunately, I stopped in today, Thursday morning, to try the brunch. Again, as stated in other reviews, the kitchen and food are fantastic! The problem was THE MUSIC was blasting at 8:45 am. AND IT WAS awful POP music from the 80s. Man, we hated that music then "Come on Eileen..." Mindless junk! Not even good stuff. The waitress turned it down for me but another person who works there, a woman in her 30s? Came in the eating area and told the waitress she wanted the music loud and turned it back up. I told the waitress to look around, the eating area was filled with senior citizens at least my age of 65. I told her it was too early in the morning for 80s pop music "Girls they want to have fun" type. It was playing and the drum beats vibrating. I had to take my food to go. I will only come back for dinner when there is a classy atmosphere. Never brunch again on a week morning. Awful! Food was great but man, I need it peaceful in the morning. How about Beatles or light jazz like SADE? The waitress said it was classic Rock! I told her no way that is 80s pop (not good stuff like Bronsky Beat or The Smiths, either! ). Please think about the customers! What would be more appropriate for those eating and paying, OKAY? Chased me out of there with blasting that...
Read moreWell, this was the first time in my 31+ years of eating breakfast that I left just as hungry as when I entered the restaurant. I ordered the pancake breakfast. I was given one strawberry, a tiny slice of orange, and some grapes. The two pancakes were very good. The problem is that they were about as thin as a piece of paper. Never have I seen pancakes so small. For the price paid, I expected to be full. I didn't think it was possible to pay about twelve dollars for an orange juice and pancakes and not even come close to being full. And I'm not even a big eater. Also, their online menu is not even accurate. I came in based on looking the menu over online. When I arrived, I discovered that they had totally changed it (including the prices!) That is actually fraud in my opinion. I don't know how this place was voted best breakfast in Little Rock. It was by far the worst breakfast experience of my life. I will never be going back again for sure. If you are going to eat for the ambience alone and perhaps to feel part of the Heights community (where apparently they pride themselves on eating for reasons other than being full), than this might be the place for you. If you are going for great tasting food that leaves you satiated in mind and body, stay away! Again, let me repeat, it is the only time in my life that I left feeling hungrier almost than when I entered. That speaks volumes. Caveat Emptor (let the...
