Wrights barbecue, Little Rock, Arkansas, USA 🇺🇸🍗 This is one of my favourite food places in Arkansas and it never disappoints!! The ribs just fall off the bone 🤤 the bbq flavours 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨 And now I am obsessed with collared greens! If you haven’t tried before this is the place to go!! #arkansas #wrightsbarbeque #littlerock #razorbacks #collaredgreens @TheArkansasFoodie

This is Arkansas BBQ. You smell smoke when your feet hit the parking lot (if you can find a parking spot)! During the work week, the lunch time crowd is thick-so get there early. Easy to taste that this meat is high quality before it touches the grill. The BRISKET is a must! Bacon burnt ends……insane! The RIBS check all the boxes - large, seasoned to perfection, cooked with intention and can eat them with your eyes. The mahogany bark is what every weekend, back-yard bbq’er hopes for. I’m not a turkey fan but I was able to eat a slice and I’m glad I did. Smokey and moist. I would get it again. *** SIDES *** Tried and true MAC and CHEESE. They know what they are doing here. Thank me later when you choose this as one of your sides. COLLARD GREENS. I’m picky about my greens. You’re going to want to try these. And by try I mean order them as your second side. They are cooked correctly and with pork belly! Wow. Whew. So good. They have potato salad and mashed potatoes which are both good and worth getting. I personally don’t like slaw so I haven’t tried it. I don’t usually find the cook/chef/pit master unless I believe it’s the best in the state. All of the staff are friendly like family, knowledgeable and professional. This place was clean and inviting. Clean restrooms. Wrights has a diverse menu with a banana pudding should you need the sweet. Easily a top choice when visiting the capital city. *Not pictured - pickles and pickled onions 💪🏼

I loved Wright barbeque, and you will too! I will preface this by saying I’m from Texas and grew up eating a lot of great barbeque, take that how you will. I’m a self proclaimed BBQ snob. Anyways, I got the rib plate, slaw, and baked beans with my coworkers, showed up right at opening time and not too much of a line, which was fine. When we walked in, the place smelled of delicious BBQ and I knew I was in for a treat. The ribs were tender, flavorful, and on point. Healthy portions, great sides, and amazing service. I ended up giving a rib to my coworker who confirmed what I already knew, those ribs were bussin’! I left full and happy. The OWNER was walking around checking on people and was so humble, told us about the restaurants history and the fact that they just had won a James Beard award at one of their other locations. There was a line of 30 people, which was moving, by the time we sat down to eat, so I know we got in at the right time. One of the coolest things? They had some dog statue’s up by the second story dressed out in pirates garb. I will come back here again for sure the next time I’m in Little Rock. Thank y’all so much for everything!

Wright's BBQ in Little Rock, AR, is a true gem for anyone seeking an authentic, no-nonsense barbecue experience. This isn't a place chasing trends; it's a testament to how truly great BBQ has always been made. From the moment you step in, you can tell there's a deep respect for the craft. The magic at Wright's lies in their unwavering dedication to the fundamentals: good cuts of meat, patiently subjected to low and slow smoke. The results are nothing short of spectacular. The brisket, with its perfectly rendered fat and deep, smoky bark, practically melts in your mouth, showcasing the hours of careful attention it received. Their ribs are equally impressive – tender and flavorful, pulling cleanly from the bone without being mushy, a clear indicator of a pitmaster who knows their stuff. It's not fancy, just honest, tried-and-true barbecue that lets the quality of the meat and the mastery of the smoke speak for themselves. Beyond the incredible food, the staff at Wright's BBQ truly elevate the entire experience. They are consistently amazing – friendly, welcoming, and genuinely enthusiastic about the food they serve. From taking your order to bringing out your plate, every interaction is a pleasure. Their warmth and efficiency add to the overall feeling of being in a place that truly cares about its customers. In a world where many try to reinvent the wheel, Wright's BBQ stands firm, delivering classic, exceptional barbecue that honors its rich history. It's a must-visit for any BBQ enthusiast in...

Take the stars for service and atmosphere in context- I'm not ranking it against Arthur's Prime, just amongst BBQ joints. BBQ can be very subjective, especially between hard-core fans. I have long believed the best BBQ in town is Whole Hog. I still love 'em but Wright's is banging on the door. I got the 2 meat/2 side tray for $23. Sounds a bit pricey but considering I'll get 2-3 meals out of that much food, it's a good deal. This is Arkansas so the first test is the pulled pork. Smokey and luscious, sweet and fatty, pit master knows what he is doing. Same for the brisket, you can just look at it and know it's cooked right. 3 sauces, sweet/bold/spicy. The bold is good, I might wish the spicy was a little spicier but it does feature black pepper which I love in a sauce. Really good sauce. I tried the cole slaw which was very fresh cabbage with a serious vinegar hit I was very happy with. And then the BBQ beans. The first thing I taste sitting down at a new BBQ place is the beans. If you can't do the beans right, you are in the wrong business. Wright's may have some of the best beans I've had. Smokiness, texture, sweetness, sauce (and black pepper). This is World Class BBQ. I hope they get on a delivery...
