Walked in a few minutes after 9 on 2/26/2022, there were several employees in the lobby cleaning and a customer waiting for his food at the counter. No greeting by anyone. As the customer was walking out he said, “hope you aren’t in a hurry.” We stood at the counter while employees walked by and a gentleman in a red polo with a key around his kneck unlocked a door behind the counter and then walked out for behind the counter and said hold on a minute, as he went and locked both lobby doors. This did not make us feel welcomed and for a minute we were discussing if we should just leave. After taking our order he turned and walked to the kitchen. Later, I guess he remembered he didn’t hand us our cups and came back to the front. Assuming the employee with the black slim chicken shirt over a red hoodie, laughing, in the back may have told him. When food came out at 9:15, the guy in the red polo handed us the food in a togo bag and asked us if we had lids and straws. He walked over and brought us lids and straws, like he wanted us to leave. We decided to take our food outside to the truck. The guy in the hoodie was outside the door lighting a cigarette. While we were in the truck they turned the lobby lights off, the slim chicken sign off, and the lights over the windows were off making it appear the restaurant was closed. Around 9:39 the guy in the hoodie was back outside on his phone. Seems like the staff maybe driving busy away and after locking the doors unlocked it twice for what I can assume were friends. I’d also say from eating in the truck, the driving Thru was moving super slow. I’m sure you have a system to verify this or you can see on camera that this narrative is true. I’d say after tonight the restaurant will have several customers who may never come back. If I was the owner, I would be upset, as this location isn’t living up to it’s potential. Staffing is a major issue and I didn’t even touch base on the food. Please look into this, as it is obvious the staff...
Read moreWent to eat here tonight and this so the second time I’ve been. Staff has seemed unfriendly both times and always asking to wait and never smiling or acting like they want to be there to serve you. No one said hello, 3 employees walked past us a couple of times not even acknowledging us and the customer leaving at the time told us he hoped we were not in a hurry cause they are not in a hurry. It was 9:00 when we came in and it says they close at 10:00 or 11:00. Before we even ordered to eat they locked the doors. One of them said “Hold on a minute” as they walked away from us. The food was old and the bread in my box was burnt. I guess one of them noticed we were still there after we received our food and brought us lids and straws for our drinks and said here you go. Kind of like saying you can leave now. We decided to get up and leave cause we didn’t feel like we were welcome and a minute or two after leaving they turned off all the lights inside the lobby and the slim chicken logo sign and all other lights on the building making it look they were not even open for the drive through. Even though they had locked the doors they let at least 3 other people in that appeared to be their friends and not employees as they did not have uniforms on. Employees were walking around on their phones and had their AirPods in and paying no mind anything. We work and live a mile down the road . Honestly will probably never come here again and will let my friends know not to come here as well. Very unwelcoming. Very disappointed. Guess the competition (Chick-fil-A and Popeyes) will be the only chicken place around here...
Read moreVery disappointed...again. Very few customers in the drive thru so I ordered immediately, great. I order the large family meal that's not even listed on the drive thru, but available. The employee confirmed what was included, I stated my sauces and sides. Exactly what my family is expecting, so I thought. However, after a few minutes waiting, I pull up with MY mask on and the employee is not wearing one. I spend nearly $40 on dinner for my family at Slim Chickens, and I get home to discover ZERO sauces (for 16 tenders!) and zero Texas toast. This is not the first disappointing visit. The previous issue was food quality. I should thoroughly check my order while there, if I ever do return. Ive been a fan and customer of Slim Chickens since its Fayetteville beginnings, and this is getting bad. I paid hard earned cash for food that I never received, and I'm almost insulted at the lack of attention and service. As someone who has been in the customer service industry and done their job with pride and excellence, this does not make me think that anyone needs a higher wage for unacceptable performance and poor service. Everyone makes mistakes but when its a chronic issue (as I've read), there's a problem and business will suffer. As much as I liked the food, I can't stand another disappointment (my family was let down too and that's on me), and get ripped off at the same time. I kind of expect this from other establishments and I thought Slim chickens was better than...
