I stopped by "Wayback Burgers" on Chanal today (1st outings at a Restaurant since the Covid-19 Virus)looking forward to trying their Burger's. I had received a mailers from them, it looked delicious. As I stood in line waiting for my turn to order I noticed that the young ladies cooking the food didn't have on Mask and were talking, another who did have her Mask on was picking at it and her face. I mentioned this to the person taking orders and she seemingly didn't care? Basically looked at me as if I was crazy or something. I looked at her in amazement waiting for some explanation or to show some concern, but none was given, so I walked out never to return. This happens around 1:00 this afternoon. "Covid-19" is not a joke or hoax, over 3 million people have been exposed and over 130,000 are dead. Arkansas is one of the hot spots for growth in this contagion. People cooking food and Owners need to remember that this Virus is airborne, sits on surfaces for hours even days. Breathing over food being served without Masks seems like a good way to expose others to this risk. I find this very careless, reckless and dangerous. This turned my stomach and has given me caution not to eat out at "any" Restaurant until the Virus is under control. If you rush to open up for Business please make sure the safety of your Customers comes first, not the dollars I suggest that all your employees take this seriously. Unfortunately I won't return, but hopefully this will help you correct this poor sanitization behavior for others. I truly was looking forward to trying...

This is like the 4th time going and disappointing each time. Probably won't return. Grill cook sweatin dripping sweat, just all looked unclean on Grill and counters. Onion rings were "ok" but Freddie's, whattaburger and sonics are better. Actually.. 2 out of 5 stars here. Edited: I forgot to add that while ordering both impossible burgers I was asked what I wanted on both. Lettuce, Ketchup, Mayo, and Pickles on both. When I unwrapped both burgers in the truck upon leaving, there was lettuce * onions? And some weird sauce? Not how or what I ordered. Sauce wasn't bad, but son didn't like it. Wanted Ketchup and Mayo as ordered. For a burger $10 each you should be able to get what you want on them. It seemed they were so busy working on door dash orders and getting confused about everything that customers in the store were ignored. There seems to be a need for a grill for online orders and a grill for in store orders. *Drove from north of Cabot to get impossible melts with son because its rare to find restaurants that cook alternatives like beyond and impossible, but when they do they should not be mixed with all the other burgers...
A Radio Recommendation That Delivered a Culinary Revelation
Drawn in by a radio mention, I arrived with cautious optimismâbut what awaited me was nothing short of extraordinary. I ordered the bourbon burger and cheese curds (pictured), and from the first bite, I knew I had stumbled upon something remarkable.
The bourbon sauce is the star hereâa masterstroke of flavor that defies easy description. Smoky, sweet, with just a touch of heat and complexity that lingers like a fine spirit, it elevates the burger into gourmet territory. The patty itself was perfectly cooked, juicy and full of character, resting atop a bun that held its own without overwhelming the composition.
The cheese curds? Golden, crisp, and indulgently gooeyâthe kind that squeak just enough to remind you of their authenticity, yet melt away in a crescendo of creamy richness.
Service was nothing short of astonishing. Impeccably polite, attentive without being overbearing, and blazingly fast. Frankly, it gave Chick-fil-Aâs famously efficient model a serious rival.
Yes, the seating is limitedâbut with food of this caliber, I would gladly stand, kneel, or balance on a crate. This establishment may be small in size, but it delivers flavor and hospitality on a grand scale.
A true hidden gem....
