Had the opportunity to have a date night and we wanted to find a patio since the weather was amazing. It was a Monday. We decided US Pizza would be a good spot. Close, and I've always enjoyed it there, but had also been a while since I've gone. First red flag was the guy slumped over in a chair as we walked up to the door. Our server seemed to not really know what they had to drink, but was also doing double duty as the bartender. We ordered the queso and salsa as an appetizer. 2 different beers that she said they had, she came back and said they didn't have it. My partner asked if they had Moscato, the server said they don't serve that there. It was only after ordering pizza that a drink menu was brought to us. Moscato was on their drink menu. We ordered an old fashioned and the strawberry Patron margarita. The server then groaned that an old fashioned was the hardest drink on the menu to make. I got a shot of whiskey with a beer instead. When the margarita was brought out she said, "I hope it tastes ok." I responded, "that didn't sound very confident." She replied, "I'm not really a bartender, I'm not sure if it's gonna taste good or not, I didn't ring it up just in case." It was terrible. We ended up getting our pizza to go bc the server then proceeded to take FaceTimes while walking around and apparently the man slumped over in the chair was her partner or something and she seemed distracted with him. Even with the terrible experience, I made sure to tip at least 20% bc everyone has a bad day and I get it, but def will have me thinking again about there. We don't get to have date nights a lot and want to have an enjoyable experience when we do, and this night was definitely forgettable. At least the pizza was good once we got home.
