If I could give zero stars I would.
We were told our pizza and wings would take 50 minutes. My husband went down there after 53 minutes and it wasn't ready but the restaurant was next to empty. My husband waited an additional 30 minutes in store and was told they dropped the pizza and would need an additional "8 minutes."
I called and had to explain the story twice over to a female manager who originally refused to give me her name but later stated that her name is Carla. My receipt says Merea. She told me the owner's name is Steve La Bel but I see another comment on here saying the owner's name is actually John La Bel.
"Carla" was beyond rude to me and after I explained the situation said sarcastically, "I don't understand what the problem is"so I had to restate the issue. After I did she said "if you're looking for some sort of compensation the best I can do is 10% off your next order." I responded, "we have waited two hours for a carry out pizza that was dropped on the floor and my husband is still there waiting, I want a full compensation." Carla then laughed and said, "we don't do full compensation for anything, I know, cute right?" When I began to ask what the owner's email address or phone number is she said, "he doesn't have an email number and I was told not to give his phone number out anymore."
She then had the nerve to blatantly lie to me by stating she's been talking to my husband and he's happy with the "three desserts" she's sending him home with. I spoke to my husband moments later and he told me he never even saw this person, that she spoke to me on a phone in back. He was also not happy at all nor did he want or ask for a dessert.
I looked in the bag and there were two small canolis in a box, not three. Not only that, but the pizza was NOT recently remade or fresh; it was disgusting. It was old, covered in oil and the bottom of it was soaked in either oil or water, regardless, it was soggy throughout.
Carla then informed me that she has no idea when the owner will get back to me. She never once apologized....
Read moreI have been ordering from Anthony's Pizza for 10 plus years. They have always delivered. The last 3 times I have tried to place an order, there is always an attitude. The girl answering the phone is rude and snotty.I called this evening to place an order was told they do not deliver to my address anymore. Fine, placed a pick up order. Walked in to 2 girls at the front & both were extremely rude. The one girl doing paperwork wouldn't even speak to me, told me to pay and sign. I was not familiar with the machine & asked her do I need to tap the card? She proceeded to act like she did not hear me. SO again I asked. The other girl responded finally after walking around & not paying attention, After the painstaking event of trying to pay $36 for a large pizza, I asked them why they do not deliver, the one girl would not even acknowledge me. The other girl just said, it is based on address. Ok fair enough. The snarky attitude & rudeness makes me want to find another pizza place, I love Anthony's Pizza, We are long time patrons. And big fans of Anthonys. But at this time I will not be ordering from them again. If this was my franchise I would take a serious look at who is behind the counter representing your establishment. Because the two girls that are there this evening are very rude. This is not the first time in the last 3 months this...
Read moreWent in this evening for a pizza with my tiny family. The girl at the counter wasn't very welcoming to begin with. We order our pizza and it gets to our table no issue. We eat 6 out of 8 slices and are getting ready to leave. The pizza was plain cheese so I can't complain on quality. Some man walked in and asked for a cup of water (and possibly some food). He was very cold with it being less than 30° outside this evening. And before this man could finish his sentence, the girl at the counter cut him off and said, "NO I CANT DO THAT." It was extremely rude. The man turned to I'm assuming another worker to look at him and he said, "She's my manger so I have to listen to her." The man turned away in defeat and headed towards the door. Before he walked out my partner offered him our last two slices and he happily took them. The actions from this "manager" was actually quite baffling to us as by standers in the restaurant. Was she obliged to help him? Absolutely not. But was she extremely rude? Yes, she was. It's one of those things where attitude is everything and she showed an ugly one.
We live roughly 5 blocks away and will not be returning to this location simply because of how rude the girl at the counter was to someone asking for help during our time there. We will go out of our way to Pie Hole on Broadway.
Do better, girl at...
