If you’re looking to have a good time with friends over drinks and good food this is the place for you.
– Peanut Butter and Jelly Meatballs: say what you want but these were by far the table favorite. They were delicious with the right amount of smoke from the jalapeño jelly and chipotle peanut butter. And the bacon flavor just elevated the taste even more. I will say a little more jelly would have made them even better.
Green Chile Pepper Jack Cornbread: Yum. I love me some good cornbread and it was the perfect cornbread with a surprising cake of spice. The honey butter and jalapeño blueberry jam or perfect toppers for this yummy treat.
Meat and Cheese Charcuterie Board: I mean who doesn’t love a good charcuterie spread. All of us at the table literally said the apple slices were the best apple slices we had ever had. We wish the bread was a bit softer and a few more crackers were included but overall the variety of meat cheeses and fruits were great and the taste was amazing this will for sure be a pick again in our future.
Cast Iron Bread: So funny story is we actually didn’t order this one, but were accidentally given it and with the great customer service at The Farmhouse and Breckenridge Brewery, the waiter let us keep the cast iron bread and we were so glad that he did because we devoured the entire skillet it was so good. This will be a future menu pick for sure. Would definitely recommend.
Spicy Honey Garlic Buffalo Wings: Be Careful! We were pretty excited about the wings, but unfortunately these were too spicy to even get past one bite. So maybe pick the last spicy option if you aren’t the biggest spice fan or I would skip these completely. They were even too spicy for the one spice lover at our table.
UPDATE TO REVIEW: Visited The Farmhouse again and wanted to share some more delicious menu items.
Brisket & Biscuit Mac n Cheese: This Mac n Cheese has a kick to it with the chorizo cheese and smoked brisket, but it is delicious. The biscuit on top is the perfect addition to give you the at home cooking feel.
Bacon & Beef Meatloaf: This Meatloaf was ok - I would say about average, but everyone prefers their meatloaf a different way and onion straws and cheese were not for me. The brussel sprouts were ok, but if I had to choose again I would select a new option.
Beerimasu: I am not sure if this is a restaurant regular dessert or a Restaurant Week menu item, but this dessert contained way too much pumpkin for anybody at our table to enjoy which is sad, but I would recommend the Smoked Caramel or Chocolate Charcoal ice...
Read moreI am a pretty avid concert goer at the Pepsi Center and every time I go to a concert there I eat here. The location is great and very convenient for getting into the Pepsi Center and I have never been disappointed. That is until I went this past time on July 3rd. I had a big party that I made reservations for. When I first was trying to do so it said to call for big parties so I did. They did not answer my call so I left a voicemail. I gave them a couple days to get back to me, when they didn’t I called again and left another voicemail. When I again did not hear back from them I had to make two separate reservations online to do so. I never did receive a call back from them. Then when I got to the restaurant on the day of my reservations the manager proceeded to be rude to me and tell me that next time i need to call because now he has to go and switch up his whole dining room to accommodate us. And I responded with I did call and then he told me,” well next time you need to leave a message.” And I get that he did have to push two tables together, but that is something that restaurants do all the time and there was barely anyone in there so he really didn’t have to rearrange the whole dining room. I was very disappointed that a MANAGER would speak to a costumer this way that tried to make a proper reservation the way the website said to, but you can only do so much when you never receive a call back. The only saving grace was our waitress who had to apologize for the way her manager acted and she was amazing. She was constantly making sure we had refills and checking in, she was the best part about it. The food was mediocre and the nachos we ordered didn’t have much cheese on them. Overall I was very disappointed with this visit and I honestly don’t know if I will go back again after the way that the manager handled...
Read moreThis place at one time was a cool place to hang out at however my recent experience there didn’t really set well with me.We decided just to have a few drinks and walk directly to the bar mind you it was a Tuesday so there wasn’t to many people however as we stood there waiting patiently for the bartender to ask us what we wanted to drink he just give us the side eye and assisted other people instead of us. Than when he approaches us he assumed we only wanted water to drink and brought two cups of water and than walked away! I then had to flag him down and tell him that we wanted beer to drink and only then were we served! While all this was happening he was having a good old time with the rest of the bar people around us! He would ask them if they wanted something else to drink! but not one time did he ask us if we wanted something else to drink! I am a very positive person and refuse to say it’s because of my skin color we got treated poorly! But on this occasion, it truly was a color situation. because he served everyone else happily who happened to be “white”! Now I am not saying that everyone who works there are racist but this one Particular sloppy looking non groomed bartender who was a white male sure was! We didn’t make it obvious that we were offended by the treatment we received by this man. we finished our drinks quietly and we still give him a nice tip & left with our heads up because we are good people! Never judge a book by its cover! PS we both decided never to go back to this place again, yes because of one rotten apple! To the company please re educate your employees regarding, customer service and valuing every customer no matter how...
