First time here since the transition from Littleton Cafe. The place was packed with patrons. It was nice to see some of the old employees still working there. The upfront staff person had multiple duties including guest check-in, delivering meals to tables, checking on available tables, selling pastries by cash register, etc. She would forget what’s she doing and sometimes left people hanging. It’s probably because it’s all new and they will find their groove eventually.
They have gone electronic and are able to pull up your table order at the cashier in case you didn’t receive your bill. Also they have a rewards program. Not sure what that entails but it’s based off your phone number.
The food was actually better than before. The sausage links were big and juicy. The bacon was just as good and a thicker slice. The potatoes were soft and tasty. I’m sure if you wanted the potatoes & bacon crispier, you could ask for that. We had the Denver Omelette. The sourdough bread was thick and fresh. Overall, everything was hot and delicious. We...
Read moreWe were loyal customers of the Littleton Cafe. Went every Sunday. We have tried three times now that it's changed hands, and I hate to write this, but have to be honest. Love seeing the faces of the old staff, but that's where it ends. We hate the new plates, petty I know, but it's like eating off of cheap picnicware. Such a strange choice to have plastic in a restaurant that will do high volume- the potential for bacteria eventually is real. They don't keep the food warm, and the way they sound and feel when you eat off them is such a turn off. Food comes out so slow, even though the place is no longer busy, and it's just not good. Bland more than anything. The white of our sunny side up eggs was still raw in places (every time we went). Home fried potatoes are too big as others have mentioned, and not seasoned enough to make up for it. The new direction seems misdirected. We gave it several chances, and the prices are still reasonable, but we...
Read moreWe came in today to try the new place. The lady at the front was less than friendly. She was an older lady with her hair in a ponytail. We ordered food. Our eggs were over hard even though we ordered over medium eggs. The bacon was flimsy the green chili was gross and the potatoes were equally as gross. Maybe their lunch is better, but the breakfast was definitely a no go for me, but the lady upfront was less than friendly so I won’t be back. It’s nothing like the Littleton Café. I will stick with going to Mike’s Café on Federal and Oxford. First impressions are everything. They didn’t make the cut. The food had...
