Social Bar & Lounge — Restaurant in Littleton

Kind of a cool little place in the middle of a strip mall. The drinks were good but super overpriced. The small plates were also good but again super overpriced.

The real issue was the service. It is a loud bar. There were three of us girls sitting in a corner seated area. The manager literally came over and told us that we needed to be quieter. Now don’t get me wrong, I myself have a very robust laugh. And my friends I was with also have robust laughs. But we could hardly hear each other talk over the noise of the bar and we were singled out to be told to be quiet. Kind of crazy to me! So we were quiet and well behaved going forward. Again, we could hardly hear each other. It was so loud in there. and then we were sitting and talking for a bit longer after we had paid the bill and the manager again came over and told us pretty much we had to go because they needed to seat other people there. We had just paid, like minutes before. Pretty snooty for a strip mall bar. Will not be back. Plenty of other overpriced places with better service we...

This place was HIGHLY RECOMMENDED to me so I was eager to check it out.

Unfortunately this didn't live up to my expectations.

Sat at the bar and ordered French 76 and was corrected (French 75 with vodka). It was a strange and clunky thing to be corrected when most bartenders know what a French 76 is. It was especially odd because this is a craft cocktail lounge.

It doesn't bother me if the bartender didn't know. No worries. But to be corrected? Kinda off-putting.

I looked at the menu quite a while after the drink was delivered, which was utterly delicious!, but was never approached again. I didn't order food like I wanted and didn't get a 2nd cocktail.

When there are a dozen empty bar stools, my expectation is that the bartender is going to wait on me...offer suggestions...build rapport...

If you are with a group, this place may be better. But it's a dead pass if you are by yourself. I didn't feel welcome.

So I left and went to another spot I like and enjoyed a cocktail and food.

Will not be back and...

Meet Steve. Steve and Dawn are the owners. We welcome them to our neighborhood, it has been a great local hang out. We love your drink called the bourbon social.

We stopped in last night to share with Steve the award(s) that I had received. When we arrived, I heard my name, and it was a bunch of ladies from my town.

The atmosphere is great, inviting, hip, warming, and welcoming. They have a bill holder like an iPad, It actually lights up and inside the folder also comes with a pair of cheaters, little reading glasses if needed.

They don’t really serve food but they do have some snack things and a Charcuterie board.

The best part about your place is that you are a short Uber ride away, LOL.

We love you Steve and Dawn, thanks for putting the effort in to bringing this amazing place to the hood.
