Update- I had a chat with the manager who was very helpful and nice. She assured me is hinge were running better. I’ve been there twice since and both times have been perfect.
i wanted to love this place so bad. Super cute, great vibes and food….. if you get it. I’ve been here many times and suggested it to others which is why we were there this morning. However 3 out of 4 times they have messed up my order. NOw I’m not a karen and I’ve been a waitress, barista, and bartender. So I get it in terms of Sometimes things don’t go as planned. So I’ve never written this review. However after today I’m done.
I ordered a latte, hot cocoa, and a Lyon crepe. Coffee came out quickly, crepe as well expected, but no hot cocoa….. waited ten mins or so and checked with host. “They’re working on it.” Another ten, crepe received and my daughter was almost done. Checked again…” working on it…
A few mins later, I asked to have it put in Togo cup “ should be done soon, but I’ll have them put in Togo cup.”
Finished, boxed food, headed to front and waited. Still nothing, finally told staff to just forget it.
Same situation last time with a forgotten crepe….
So great food and coffee if you receive what you pay for but unfortunately not taking the risk in...
Read moreOk, I had to change my review in the process of writing because of the owner. So, I will start over. We saw an attractive ad on Facebook and were waiting for the weekend to go to the cafe, all the way from Aurora today, on Sunday, to treat ourselves after a busy week. They said their Creme Brulee crepe was not available. I had to choose another one. After waiting for a while it turned out the second one was not available as well. They brought a cookie and asked if I wanted to try choosing one more time. But there was nothing else I wanted. I was really upset, and couldn't hide it. The owner came to check on us, she cared and turned out to be very nice, we chatted for a while. As an excuse for being out of what I wanted, they treated us with crepes and add-ons. The good attitude changed the situation indeed. I have to say, if you want something special, you may still want to try better call ahead and check availability. The atmosphere in the creperie is very nice, Europen-like: nice music and interior. I intended to write an angry hungry review, but the owner changed the situation. I have to take 1 star away for not aligning the price with availability though. Hopefully, I will come one more time and...
Read moreChecked out the (relatively new) place. We were disappointed and won't go back. Coming in, we liked the sunny patio and the well lit interior. We were surprised by the business model: order at a counter at the entrance, check out at that time (with tip requested) then free seating and food brought to your table. Weird if you consider multiple courses or drinks (which would make sense on paper since they list both savory and sweet crepes). The crêpes have french names alright, but they sure aren't French. Savory crêpes were not the required buckwheat but instead the same sweet dough as the sweet crêpes. They tasted rather bland and reminded more of a quesadilla than of a crêpe. As for the sweet crêpes, the menu had only French names but none of these crêpes would be served in France (fortunately as what we had was bland and disappointing). All crêpes were undercooked and doughy. Drink menu is limited but correct. With tips, expect $25 per person with one crêpe and one drink. Really wanted to love this place. For brunch I'll stick to Bon Ami. For real crêpes I'll...
