What a delightful excuse to overeat! I happened upon this place yesterday with my husband and son after a visit to Chatfield Dog Park (alas, no dogs allowed, so my pup had to wait outside). Our server was very friendly and cheerful- the food came out quickly and was hot. I like how they serve a steaming hot side of beans with the chips and salsa to start. I’ve never seen that done before and it was a nice touch. My son had the kid’s quesadilla which was served with rice and beans - tasty, but I’m afraid he may have filled up on my husband’s and my horchatas (they’re pretty big- next time he and I will probably be five to split one). We shared a smothered breakfast burrito with bacon- SO good, and the Don Juan burrito since it had steak and we wanted to save a morsel or two for our waiting pup. The French fries inside this burrito were super yummy, but next time I’d either stick with the smothered breakfast burrito, do the chile rellano burrito, the chilequilles or go totally outside the box (for me) and try one of their sopas. The table across from us ordered them and I had food envy, even though I ate so well and so much I had to go home and take a nap. Which is exactly what I’m looking for after a Mexican feast on a Sunday afternoon!

The food here is very tasty, good portion sizes and not over priced. The atmosphere is attractive and the staff very friendly. In addition to salsa, their chips are served with a black bean dip. It's quite good. I ordered a simple combination dish of a chicken enchiladas and tamale. They're topped with an in-house, "home made" sauce, it's called Chili Roja, and is not the typical red ranchero sauce. Not too hot, but just enough warmth and a lot of flavor. The decor is very attractive, one wall of Mexican art. The chairs too are unique in design. The whole feel is bright, clean and cultural. The TV was playing the Bronco game. Enjoy!

Delicious Mexican food made from regional family recipes. All house-made. Our table had enchiladas, chile rellenos, and a beef and bean burrito. Portions were generous. Chile rellenos was available soft or crispy- try the crispy! Delicious without being heavy or greasy (a sign the chef knows what he’s doing). Salsa was delicious- enough heat for flavor but not too much to chase away the less spicy member of the group. Margarita was perfectly made. Owners were warm, welcoming, and friendly- the pride they have in this venture shows. I’ve eaten at plenty of Mexican restaurants- and this is one of the best.

Trying to find a hidden gem Mexican fair spot in Littleton is close to impossible. Came to Don Juan’s Chasing the positive reviews on food only to realize these reviews must be written by people who do not value good or even subpar Mexican food. Service was spectacular, I will give them that, and place was clean and very inviting. However, the food fell short in every single way possible. The Carnitas lacked flavor and were extremely dry, The steak burrito also was very lackluster In flavor. The kids cheeseburger tasted exactly what you would expect from a frozen quick cooked patty And to top it off, the margaritas were pure mix with Lil to no alcohol. But,…Our server was awesome Kudos to that dude for sure. I normally don’t go out of my way to make reviews however I feel like certain restaurants need some level of accountability going forward and choosing this place based on reviews, I feel completely duped Sorry Don , I wanted to like...

I’m a Colorado native and have tried many Mexican restaurants in my 62 years. I have visited Mexico over 35 times in my life. I love trying new places I love fresh cuisine. I have to say I’ve never been treated so poorly in my life. I ordered a guacamole tostada while waiting for my friend to come. It came out with so much jalapeños. I couldn’t eat it. It was so hot. It was burning my mouth. I was sweating and I asked Jesus if it was normally that hot. He stated you’re in a Mexican restaurant that’s how it is. I couldn’t finish it. I ended up drinking two glasses of tall water. I was waiting for my friend to come when she finally did I asked her to taste the guacamole tostado ( and she is from Venezuela ) and she said it Hot also. She has been going here for years and never had treatment like that. I don’t know what his problem was that day but I will never go...
