Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Livermore

10/28/24 @ 3:04 PM. Pulled up to the front window & parked. Lights were off. A woman was working inside When I looked inside the dark room and pulled on the door it was locked. The woman waved me off.

I executed my “WTF” mindset right there in the car outside the shop and gave a 1 star write up on NextDoor about the business.

As I was leaving the parking lot another guy in his car was pulling up with his window down and I yelled to him, “Don’t waste your time. They’re not open and I don’t know why. “ He yelled back to me that there is a power outage in that area right now. I looked around and sure enough, every business in the parking lot was dark.

Man, did I feel stupid!! A lot of anger wasted right there in the parking lot creating a negative write-up on NextDoor and coming back and having to correct it after arriving at home.

The GOOD NEWS is…

This business caught my eye when I was searching for a lunch place when I was running about in town.

Saw they had a sandwich that was made between two pickle halves!! I WILL be going back to try it!! Anybody on a low carbohydrate diet may really appreciate that too!! Never heard of such a thing before!!

I give this place 5 stars now JUST for the idea and even though I haven’t tried it yet, it sounds like I can’t go wrong!

After I get mine I’ll come back and repost.

Let me tell you, I love! Jimmy John. Up in Idaho Jimmy Johns was the thing to get while studying for finals. Fast but delish and half way healthy food for delivery! So when it came to Livermore I was super Excited!!! But the first time I ordered it was a slow delivery, which I could understand. Livermore is a big place. But they never asked for a name on the order, and never gave me my total. And then they forgot a sandwich! Ugh. Then it took forever to get the last sandwich. Okay. But like I said I LOVE Jimmy Johns! So we got it again today. And still no total and still no name on the order. And this time they got the order wrong. I asked for a #2, #5, and a #12. Instead we got 2 #5s and 2 #12s. (And yes I asked them to read me back my order, and yes I told them what I wanted twice.) As exciting as it is to have a Jimmy Johns... I don't think I'll be ordering from them for delivery for a while. Maybe they'll get training or a new manager or something and by then things to shape up. When ordering on the phone for delivery triple check....

We'd never heard of, let alone, eaten at a Jimmy John's before. Finding this place, then, was a pleasant surprise. The store was easy to locate, and very clean. The sandwich clerks were very friendly and accommodating, especially after we'd told them that that was our first visit. They took the time to explain the menu, options and extras. In the end, we ordered the number 9: Big Italian Night Club. I should explain that a full-sized sandwich there is an impressive 16"! My husband and I shared one full-sized sub, and it was more than enough for us. The bread was fresh, the meats savory, and the veggies crisp. In short, it was delicious! Did I mention that the service there is super fast? The dining area, as well as the restroom, is clean and well maintained. This particular store is far from our home town, but we did find one not too far from where we live. We hope that that Jimmy John's leaves us as impressed, and satisfied, as...
