Ming's Garden — Restaurant in Livermore

Ming's Garden lunch cannot be beat. As far as quality, time efficiency and friendliness, Ming's is beyond reproach. The food is excellent, everything is fresh, everything has crazy flavor. The vegetables in every dish are always crisp. The staff are very friendly and pleasant, and the order always gets put in immediately. The food is never with a batch or sitting somewhere, everything comes out piping hot, and all the fried items are crispy fried. I cant tell you the amount of places around here, especially places geared towards speed lunches that have soggy or mass produced foods. Not at Ming's!!! Ming's has never disappointed me or any of my friends. Every time I go out with a new coworker, I take them to Ming's. And the best part. It's the best deal in town!!! A main item, with chow mein/fried rice, a soup and a salad. For $9! Added bonus depending on whether or not you know what you want, and how fast you eat, you can be in and out in 20 minutes. My friends and coworkers alike usually choose Ming's when eating out. Even first timers have to go back. I highly recommend the; house special beef, orange chicken, sweet and sour prawns, and general Tsao chicken. Please give them a try, you owe it...

I've only done take-out (mostly lunch specials) & didn't have time to phone in orders. EVERY time I've gone in for To Go orders, they have been INCREDIBLY QUICK preparing my orders. So quick in fact, I've worried about the quality of the food - seriously, when you can order your food, pay for it & walk out w/food in hand in UNDER 10 MINS - it CAN'T be that good - OH YES IT CAN!

The food has been great every time, along with the service, staff & cleanliness of the restaurant. I love that they open at 10:30 a.m. so that I can beat the lunch crowd - & yes, they get crowded every day. But even then, service has been great. The lunch specials are really good & most are price under $10. I was also VERY happy they offer dinner specials too, since it's just me (only when the kids are @ grandma's!). It's nice not having to buy full orders of the entree PLUS the rice, etc.

The only reason I can't give 5⛤ is because they don't include the soup or salad with the lunch/dinner specials to go - dine in only. Other than that, this is a great place & the staff has always been really nice, even helping me pick what to get when I'm not sure...

First timer here! I came by around 11 am for an early lunch.

Service: quick; staff were friendly and quick to service everyone coming through the door and calling in to order food

Food: came out within 5-10 min of ordering; hot (temporature-wise), fresh, big portion for me

I ordered fish with spicy garlic sauce and fried rice. Fried rice was good and tasty. Fish was fresh off the wok and spicy like the way I wanted; tasty and spicy sauce that went well with fried rice. There were vegetables to accompany pieces of fish.

Lunch portion also came with spicy soup and salad. After tax, the bill came out $9.28.

Venue: casual/clean; the place is one big common room with many tables; it started to fill up around 11:30. So come early! I didn't check out the restroom so no comment there.
