As much as I want to like this place, I canāt seem to do it. I will say that the first time I ate there, the food was good. However we were there for 3 hours and I could only seem to get a single beer. The wait time was horrible. Keep in mind that no one else was there but us. I tried again tonight. I ordered the $63 crab boil. When we received the boil over an hour after we ordered it, the crab was cold. On top of that, it was missing the king crab leg. I politely asked the waiter and he said, let me go ask. He was new, and the guy was an absolutely great server! Kudos to him! When he returned, he said that the chef insisted that we got everything it came with, and the chef even said he gave us more than we were supposed to have. I told the waiter that the king crab was not in it. He went back to the kitchen and came back with the same answer. I said look, Iām not trying to be difficult. Just bring it back to them and show them. He did, and came back and said that the chef was being difficult but the other staff said that the king crab leg was not in it and agreed with us. The chef then realized he was wrong and that it would be another 5 minute wait. When we got our bowl back, it was even more cold. The king crab leg was still cold and honestly tasted horrible. I mean, really really bad. It tasted like it was frozen and dipped in the boil to heat it but it didnāt even get that hot. I hate to be this person that gives a negative review, and I am by no means someone who makes a scene, so I paid my bill and left. The shrimp was great, the potatoes were great, but the other issues I had were enough to make me not ever want to go back. I am a chef and I understand the demands of the kitchen. I understand how frustrating it can be when a customer complains, but there has to be a pride to your work, and the chef that works now...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDecided to give this place a try on a whim. I was looking forward to some catfish but wanted to have a different side other than fries. I asked for fried pickles. I would have gladly paid an up charge. The server went into the kitchen and came back with a ānoā. No suggestions or recommendations for other options. Okay. I wonāt order anything then. My husband had wings. We sat with empty water glasses waiting for 30 minutes for wings. Mind you, the wings were good but the wait was excessive. While my husband ate, I decided to try to just order the fried pickles. I was told it would take an additional 20-25 min. Another thing Iād like to mention that others have complained about was the loud music. It was hard to have a conversation at a normal level. I donāt think weāll be back. Luckily, Livingston now has other options now. We really want to support small businesses but if you donāt have properly trained staff and are unwilling to accommodate your customers at the cost of losing out on a $16-20 sale, I wish you...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCame in on a Saturday for lunch. Had a DJ blaring music like it was the Clurb on Saturday night. Lots of variations of shrimp and grits. 1/4 of the Menu. Everything comes with fries, wanted a swap for fried pickles but waitress said naw they donāt do that. Then we asked for fried pickles as a separate menu item and were told it would be a 20-30 minute wait. We ordered one thing-wings and they had to come back a few minutes later and ask again what the order was. Oh and a hamburger and fries costs 17 bucks. Thatās why I got the wings. The Nashville hot wings were good, which was the only saving grace of this experience. Iād give the Nashville Hot wings a better food rating but they are swimming in grease. That might be the intended sauce but if you do that extra napkins are in order cause it was a mess. The cloth napkin was quickly soaked in grease.
