I liked the atmosphere, so cozy! A perfect place to eat and drink! The music 🎶 was at a perfect volume, not loud to where you have to scream at the person next to you. The drink I had was a margarita and was made to perfection! Smooth and not overwhelming with the tart mix taste. My appetizer was fried mushrooms and those were perfect! Not over fried where they were soft and watery, they had a little firmness that made them perfect! This place has won my business so far. Now just waiting for the main dish to add to my review. Got my sirloin steak and baked potato. The potato could have used more cheese and sour cream but it was still delicious, my steak was medium rare and perfect! We came a 2nd time and it was as good as the first! I had the chicken fried steak and it was so good, the skinny Margarita was good, but a little tart on the lime, so I liked the original better. The sauteed broccoli was pretty good as well. I will have to make a 3rd trip to try something else W Oh, I tried the cowboy nachos and it was a bit salty, but ok. I'd rather have the fried mushrooms again as they were great!

The Blue Duck is a really cool spot in downtown Livingston. Affordable and delicious food is hard to find but this spot delivers. Nestled right in the heart of downtown Livingston the Blue Duck offers crafted dishes with delicious sides at a very reasonable and affordable price. For drinks I had the house margarita and it was tasty and strong. Our family had the spinach and artichoke dip and it had great flavor and was able to feed 4 people. Chips were also seasoned and had good flavor. For dinner I got the sautéed shrimp, my wife got the chicken fried steak, parents got the special and all dishes were on point. Our server was very nice and the manager/owner came over and spoke with us. He was also very kind and spoke with my 4 year old for about 5 minutes. Overall very nice spot in a cool location. Great food for an affordable price I highly recommend.

This is a very elegant restaurant in the downtown area of Livingston, Tx. The wait staff is very friendly and had a good knowledge of drink orders and the menu. I came here with family and we all ordered a drink from the bar. Our drinks came out on time and were made accurate. Our bartender even came up to our table to ensure that we were happy with our order. I ordered the fried fish platter and my wife had a burger. My fried fish platter with fries was one of the best fish meals I've had. Well seasoned and cooked well. This is a nice restaurant to take your family, or even just to come to the bar to have a few drinks and enjoy their live music once in a while. 10/10 will be definitely going back.

My husband and I wanted to try something new and so we went to this place we got seated right away got our waitress to greet us and ask us if we wanted a appetizer and the waitress took our drink order and she left us while we looked over our menus got our drinks 10 minutes later and she took our orders and took our menus and I told her my diet dr.pepper tasted off and gave us our appetizer a few minutes after that by a different waiter and my husband drink was empty the waiter and our waitress never ask if we wanted anything I raised my hand a couple of times and they passed me by like I was a ghost I got mad so I went to the person that showed us to our table the situation and she jumped and got me another drink and got my husband a refill everything was ok with us then our waitress comes to the table and confronts me and says that the hostess was not responsible for our table and that they was busy and that she got a cloudy mind and basically forgot about us. That made me even madder and I am a type of person when I get mad I cry I was crying at the table on how mad I was I had to go to the bathroom and cry it out I ask for the manager when they gave us our food 30 minutes later and explained what happened and I was so upset the manager was nice enough to pay for our food that's the only reason I will go back because of the manager but if I get the service I got by the waitress and waiter I will never go back. And what's funny is I get paid to try restaurants and I got paid to try that one and they messed up big time I will be reporting them to my...

Came in last night 2/4/21 with my family. We were not greeted upon walking in. I asked the lady if we seat ourselves and she appeared surprised as if she didn’t notice 4 people standing there waiting to be seated. After being seated we waited for 15 minutes possibly longer, for a server to speak with us. It was an odd feeling as it seemed intentional however, I won’t know if it was an honest mistake or not. Finally a server asked if we had been helped or not yet. The server approached us and took our drinks. I ordered a whiskey old fashioned and the server asked if I want anything in the drink with my whiskey. It’s a whiskey old fashioned are you not familiar I said. I let her know to ask the bartender if they can make a whiskey old fashioned and if not to let me know I’ll order something different. She had a smug look as if I was the one being rude when we just sat there for 15 minutes straight without so much as a greeting from anyone. The restaurant was not busy at all so this wouldn’t be a good reason for this terrible experience. She brought us our drinks and I let her know I’ll pay for the drinks and that would be it. Clearly we weren’t welcomed or wanted in this restaurant. This might be a great experience for others however we were ignored and treated as if we shouldn’t have walked in. I won’t be back nor will I recommend this place to...

I ordered the blackened chicken, came with a side of wild rice and vegetables. $13. The seasoning on the chicken and veggies were good. The wild rice tasted exactly like Uncle Ben’s Wild rice you make in a box. It was just okay. The chicken was very dry and hard to cut even with a steak knife. Portion sizes were spot on. Value of the meal was acceptable ONLY IF the chicken would have been not so tough and dry. I ate it anyways, with zero complaint.

My husband ordered the fried fish. $13. He said the fish was some of the best he has eaten in awhile. He received a side of wild rice as well. The quality was good, however, the portion size of wild rice was lacking. Actually, with such a small portion, this meal should at least have 2 sides, instead of one. Please consider adding an additional side item, if even a small house salad.

The decor was unique and quite fascinating. Located in a very old building on the square. The service was top notch as one would want. It was very surprising as a customer to be greeted with a smiling and welcoming gentleman extending his hand. Very impressive. Also, our waiter a young man, was very informative with our questions and also extended a hand as well.

Overall, we will definitely give it another shot especially after seeing the hamburgers being delivered to...
