The reviews for this restaurant looked promising, but failed. I had high hopes after walking inside because the atmosphere was glorious. Bright, vivid colors filled the restaurant. Too bad the food was dark and dim. The chips were stale. I asked for another basket and those too were stale(or at least tasted like it). We ordered the pork enchiladas, Camerones Jalisco, and soft taco and was displeased. The pork was very dry and not very flavorful. On a positive note, the rice and beans were excellent. For the price of the food, I expected much better quality ingredients than what we were served. The day we went was around 40° outside, but the restaurant was kept way too hot. It was miserable inside. I had a displeasing experience with our server as well. She wasn’t very attentive and when asked for straws, chips, napkins, etc. she would make it seem like it was some large task for her to do. For lack of words, she was lazy. Overall, the atmosphere it great but the quality of the food and service was a bit discouraging.

I came thru this town a month before and I told myself that if I ever came back, I’d stop and eat at Fiesta en Jalisco in beautiful and historic downtown Livingston, Montana. So, here I am. When chips and salsa are delivered, I love two see two different kinds of salsa when chips are brought to the table. They were both great. The menu is expansive. I quickly noticed that the prices were quite high. I understand that this area is a popular area for famous and wealthy people so maybe it’s not expensive, maybe I’m just poor (insert laughter.) however, I don’t usually consider cost when reviewing and when I do the weight of the cost is low. So, since many of the dishes were either in the mid $20 or late 20’s, I decided to go with the MOLCAJETE. It was only $28 but worth the experience. I took most of it home . The Molajete was delicious. The favors , and portion size, all good.

We loved the food here. We ordered the carne asada and the carnitas platter. Both were super sized and delicious. We also ordered a margarita, but it was not great. It was a lot of sour mix and barely any tequila. Server was ok, not very attentive even though it wasn't as busy when we went. We did have a bus boy who checked in on us when we were done. Whoever he was, he was the saving grace for service. There were some intoxicated patrons too that weren't pleasant to watch. Maybe the servers and bartenders need to keep an eye out more closely.

My husband and I have had meals at this restaurant 3 or 4 times since we've moved to the area. Besides the (more expensive) steakhouse, it's our favorite place to eat.

The service has always been pretty good there. I haven't had much of a problem getting refills for my drinks and they've never messed up our orders.

The complementary chips and salsa are fantastic--you get a spicy kind as well as a mild salsa that seems to have cabbage in it. The latter is my favorite and I plan on trying to make my own salsa to match.

The food is hot and fabulous and you get a lot on your plate. Lots of refried beans, rice, and some vegetables too (lettuce etc..). I'm a picky eater and I have never had cause to complain there. While some people might be overwhelmed at the huge menu, I love it because of my picky-ness and it gives me so much more to choose from that I would enjoy rather than narrowing it down to just one or two items I might consider.

I tried the chicken mole last time, and it was so delicious I can't wait to get it again! A friend of mine says the fish tacos are great there too with delicious seasoning.

If you want a casual atmosphere with good comfort food you should give this restaurant a try. And it's DEFINITELY better than fast food! I don't like mexican fast food and you certainly can't get mole...

I'm extremely disappointed with the service my family and I received tonight. The food was sub par and the service was worse.. both of the employees were extremely pushy and did not take any time to understand what we really wanted. Firstly, the booth we were seated in, was terrible. The outer side of the booth sunk so far down it was extremely uncomfortable. Secondly, I was all but pushed out of the way when trying to sit down because one of the waiters was going to put chips on the table and could not wait for me to finish sitting. Everytime our waitress talked to us she was snappy and in a rush to finish talking to us, even if we weren't finished with what we were saying. This caused for us to be served the wrong food, which we delt with for the sake of time because we had children with us and are traveling. The beans were so runny we didn't even eat them. It was honestly a...
