GM Paris Bakery — Restaurant in Livonia

This is to the ridiculous response from the owner to my honest review: fix the issues in your bakery. People are leaving you bad reviews because your quality has seriously deteriorated. Nobody is out to get you and we are not competing bakeries or unhappy employees. Get a hold of yourself and open your eyes. You are so quick to attack people for their honest reviews. People are reading your delusional responses and laughing at you. So the only time people leave a honest review about your bakery is when it’s a good one right? You want to live in denial, be my guest. I leave honest reviews (only two bad bakeries btw) because I hold bakeries to a high standard for the high prices they charge and if they do not meet my expectations and are severely lacking in quality I let others know. Keep living in your fantasy world buddy, I’m sure it will get you far.

Edit: Since posting my first review about a year ago, their donuts have changed for the worse. I’m not sure if it’s new bakers or new recipe but they are definitely not as good. We’ve gone back several times in the last few months to see if it was just an “off” day… nope. Not as fluffy, not as tasty. Really kind of flat and glaze was soggy and this was supposed to be their fresh donuts on the top rack. Staff really hasn’t been that friendly either. I could overlook unfriendly staff if I was getting their old donuts. Not sure what’s going on here but this place has fallen from donut grace pretty quickly. First review below:

I have been going to paris since i was a little girl, so around 30 years! I understand they've changed ownership but still... I ordered a cake for my daughter's birthday party. It was to be a peace ☮ sign cake with bright colors and flowers to make up the peace sign. I was extremely specific and what colors I wanted and everything. I even sent a pic to the email they told me to for the cake maker. I ordered it out almost a month in advance. I paid $60 for this cake! The party was on a Sunday, so I picked it up on saturday around 12/1 pm. The cake was NOT at all what I ordered and was soooo upset! It was Just ORANGE with just balloons on top and happy birthday. We worked out that the cake lady would just scrape the top off and start fresh basically. My mother end up getting the call to go pick it up right before 5 because I had to work. When I actually got to see the cake I was devastated again! I gave them a second chance to redeem their selves and they royally failed! The peace sign lines weren't even straight. The colors didn't look right together. It was Just embarrassing. My mom felt she had no choice but to take it since the party was at 12 the next day... It was awful. It honestly looked like my 10 year old daughter did it. It was even made fun of that it looked like chicken feet. I will NEVER go here again! Thats your speciality! I wonder is that how they make the wedding cakes...

I am absolutely appalled and in shock with my customer service experience ordering a birthday cake. I called and spoke to Timothy. I began to place my order and provided him with my card information for purchase. He then let me know that the cake decorator was out of town and wasn't sure if the cake would be ready for the end of the week. I then told Timothy , I greatly appreciated his time, but with so many circumstances I would not be proceeding with my order and would have to go elsewhere. He then just hung up on me and still proceeded to charge my card. I was shocked and emailed him that night trying to correct the situation. I never got an email back and when I called the bakery Tim answered and was hostile and yelled at me! Telling me to calm down. All I wanted was a refund for a cake that I didn't order in the first place. Tim did nothing ,but escalate the situation and offered no assistance. I am calling my bank and proceeding with better business bureau and police report. This was unacceptable.

Edit* As everyone can see TIM is unprofessional and clearly willing to ruin the reputation of this business ....now name calling me as a Karen??? I will upload my 4 phone calls that I called with..I wouldn't of called 4 times if Tim didn't drop the call! Tim did email me now after having to make a post publicly displaying his unethical...
