My chicken breast was tough couldn't eat it spit most out was like chewing on a old shoe or piece of rubber. I took it to front counter and she replaced it with another one said that one should be good... well it wasn't it was the same as the first so I took that one back to the counter and told them it's the same way. They (he) said they could make me a fresh new one but it will take 15 to 20 minutes. I didn't want to wait that long so I just asked for a refund and he said sorry we can't refund your money that they can only replace it with a new breast like I had ordered . I said forget it I can't wait 20 minutes!! But I had to put in another order for my husband and kid at home that I promised I would bring them some drumsticks and liver home for dinner. .. so I ordered that and got it in less then 5 minutes I walked out to the car kinda fuming about the no refunds or exchanges and wasted my money on that tough chicken breast!! My dad said well go in and see if you can get it if it's ready. So I went back in and asked how much longer on that breast cause I would take it. He said oh it's ready now and gave it to me and I left. My dad and I are still mad about this like how can you serve chicken that's inedible and not refund or make it right for the customer my Dad and I are still upset and will not be back we are very disappointed ☹️ Food: 1/5...

Read moreThis was my 1st visit to Lee’s Chicken at the new location.
I had a drive thru order. I kindly requested a crispy 3 piece wing meal (spicy) w/ two sides. I also ordered a 4 piece dark w/ two sides, and requested all legs, and crispy as well.
When I arrived home to unpack my meal. Needless to say that in my 20+ years of visiting Lee’s at the original Plymouth, MI location, have I been more disappointed that the new location strayed from the quality that I’ve grown accustomed to.
They package your food in a styrofoam container, whereas Plymouth has always boxed theirs in the original Lee’s boxes. Also, the beans were horrible and very soupy with these tiny bits of whatever it was inside. Plymouth has a nice consistency of a thicker sauce with nice pieces of brisket!
My crispy wings were hard and cold, and biscuits were overcooked, as though they’d been sitting there all day! My 4 piece crispy legs that I requested was original thighs and legs! I will NEVER return here again!
Poor poor quality, that does NOT deserve the Lee’s name that I’ve grown to love in Plymouth! It definitively tastes like a franchised location! Why reinvent the wheel? Why not follow Lee’s system and quality in Plymouth? Why are you all packaging in gross styrofoam containers, vs the boxes that we know from Plymouth? Why are you overcooking the foods, and watering them down from what we know in Plymouth? Why, why, why? Please don’t leave the generic response either, that I notice in all of your responses! Please save it, and learn from Plymouth, MI!!!!
There are good reasons that the Plymouth location is out the door all of the time! It’s worth the wait, and the staff bust their behinds to provide quality food, and service. They never ever skip a beat, and work under pressure very very well! Learn and retrain this location in Plymouth, and stop giving the customers different quality from what we’ve grown to know...
