Zukin's Rib Shack — Restaurant in Livonia

10/2/2025. Still serving good food. Ribs, fish, shrimp, and chicken is best in the area. Love their slaw and potato salad as well. Service is excellent. They do need help so be kind. Hope they are around for another 10 years.

7/22/2022. Ordered smorgasbord, zukilinnie pizza . I am impressed. Very good food considering the staffing issue keeping the dining room closed. I recommend.

11/5/16 returned third try. Pu.Pu Platter is totally worth the price. Packed full of ribs, chicken, fish, egg rolls, Cole slaw and roll. Both the steak and ham subs packed full of meat. Will try the pizza again next time 10/2216 Tried the short end rib dinner and the Zukinekllie pizza. I ordered ahead. Was Told 40 minutes. When I picked up food on time. The pizza was cold from sitting for 15 minutes. The bottom crust was well done and the outer crust was a little burnt on edge but vegetables on top were not cooked or raw. Not sure how they pulled that off. The ribs were "ok". I have had much better from mama Vera or bone yard. The workers do not know their own menu. Not the friendliest last night either. Lots of long faces and customer were Standing and sitting at tables without food. Some of the customers were rude. Obevlious to others around them. I guess this is the type of crowed a rib shack draws. Only thing left to try on menu is the subs and fish., not sure if I will bother or wait to let the staff and cooks improve on their service.

10/18/16 Just ordered first time at Zukins Livonia. First I have to say how friendly the staff is. I had to try the chicken and the rib kabobs and 21 shrimp in a basket. All was average. side slaw and rolls were good. fries are fries. Very tasty and not greasey. Prices very fair for the quantity of food provided. Going to try the perch, pizza and while slab of ribs. Stay tuned. Not sure if they are as good as mama Vera's. Nothing compares...

I've been to this location about seven times that seven times of my hard or money but I will not spend here again Lincoln Park is the best and that is my location The customer service is great the people are great I grew up in that area and I have had nothing but great experiences My family and friends eat there all the time at the Lincoln Park location however Livonia the owner cooks the food which has implemented that he is prejudice he also charges for ketchup packages as well as barbecue sauce normally you get at least one barbecue sauce in your dinner I did not get any barbecue sauce or hot sauce or any condiments after spending 60 plus dollars in his store I was told very nicely by the cashier who customer service was okay that he charges for everything I have seen the owner several times he has never even spoke while he was out talking to another customer very poor management and after my first visit every time I get my food something is not right he has burnt my fish and shorted me on some food as well I overlooked it and continue doing business but no longer I definitely am the type of person I will not spend my heart on money at first I was willing to recommend this place I will not recommend this place to anyone! The Meats / Additional: I ordered the Open Pit combo which included BBQ Ribs and 1/2 BBQ Chicken, fries, coleslaw and a dinner roll. I also ordered a piece of cornbread. My favorite was the the BBQ chicken, the meat was perfect and the sauce that they put on there was excellent! A must try. I also really enjoyed the cornbread, it's sweet and buttery. The ribs were also good but the chicken really took the cake. I would order the same exact thing next time. It was plenty for me, I was able to make 2-3 meals out of it, which is great for the price. The Sauce: Since this is a BBQ place, they have what seems to be their house made BBQ sauce on the table for you. It was a little sweet but mostly tangy. It was good, just not my thing (I'm more of a sweet BBQ girl myself) I also got a taste of the buffalo sauce, I would give it a solid 7/10, not bad just nothing to write home about.
