Roll and Bowl — Restaurant in Locust

Our second time in this place. First time was great! Our smoothie was perfect and everyone behind the counter were so nice. This time, a girl was learning how to make the smoothie and was just “guessing” how much fruit and juice to add to my smoothie. She kept trying to ask this other girl how to do it, but the other girl was on her phone and complaining to another gentleman about how she shouldn’t have to work weekends. When the new girl who was making my smoothie finally got the other girls attention, she said that was too much of mango and the new girl said oh well it will be fine. We sat there for 8 minutes waiting on our smoothie and once we got it, it was absolutely terrible. There was not enough honey and way to much mango and coconut water. I’m very disappointed since our first time was fantastic. I don’t think this place will stay in business long if they are paying staff to talk and be on their phones and staff is just guessing what portions to put into their smoothies. I was turned on to Roll and Bowl by a good friend and I absolutely loved it. I always go to the one in Albemarle because that's where I work. Friday I was in Locust and I decided to go to the Roll and Bowl not thinking it would be any different. I always get the Barnacle Bowl and I decided to try the Shaggy Dog this time. Biggest mistake! I get home ate the Shaggy dog and about 15 mins later I was sick as a dog. My stomach was contracting, I was having hot flashes. I know for a fact it was food poisoning. This was so bad, I simply had to write a review. $30 for two mediocre sup-par to Harris Teeter sushi rolls and a 95% rice poke bowl with a white hair in it all made by a white high schooler. Everything tasted like it came from a BP gas station. Also funny, one of the rolls was supposed to have mango in/on it and there was none. $10 bucks for a roll I would eat if given to me. Anyways save yourself money and avoid a terrible experience like I did and go to a REAL sushi place. Or even McDonald's, they could probably make better...
