There were a few things that unfortunately I did not like so I feel like some honest feedback is needed here.
I brought my wife and daughter here because we are new to the area and wanted to try something new in town.
Both my wife and I got the 'steak and chicken' combo and side orders of Gyoza, mine with the noodles, and hers with the fried rice.
We enjoyed the salad and beef broth, and the Gyoza was fried to perfection in my opinion. The waitress was also kind.
We were very disappointed with the main dish.
It came with a giant lump of cooked mushy Carrots took up about 25 - 30% of the plate, the flavor was not great and it just looked sad, very visually unappealing.
The chicken was just chicken breast cook until dry and hard to chew.
The little bites of beef was also cooked dry and hard to chew (I think it was honestly a very cheap cut of meat)
The fried rice barely had any egg in it.
The noodles (this was my least favorite part of the whole experience) were just your basic spaghetti noodles, No springy texture whatsoever like you would normally find in Japanese/Asian cuisine.
After being served we only ate about 20% of the main dish, then decided to pack it up and go, and too be honest I don't even know why I packed it up. I'm 36 years old and I've never not eaten leftovers from a restaurant, so this is actually a first, I hate wasting food, but this stuff is going in the trash, I would love to get most of my money back, I spent $54 (not including tip) and only $14 was well spent (the two side orders of Gyoza). I should have just used the money to purchase a few prime ribeye's and...
Read moreI don't understand all these 4 and 5 star reviews... I'm being generous with our 2 star review from tonight (a Saturday night)... First the drinks... the menu lists wine, for which I ordered a bottle of the Pinot Grigio... well no, the "manager" said we can only do glasses as they had less than a bottle left (umm... I happen to know a grocery store about 2 blocks away sells chilled bottles for less then half that price -- why not send someone over!?!) so we could only get 2 glasses. Then we ordered an appetizer, followed by our entrees that came with salad. Well, the salad came first -- mediocre at best -- then about 1 minute later our appetizer came out (while we were still working on that salad of course.). That wouldn't have been too bad, except that about 2 minutes later (before we even got started on that appetizer) our entrees were served! Okay, well perhaps we could have lived with that if the entrees were hot, but instead they were barely warm. And by the time we finished the appetizer... well you get the picture... she had cold chicken and scallops hibachi and I had cold chicken and lobster hibachi. And of course no further wine was available. This place definitely needs new management... never again for for us. Avoid this place -- I'm giving a 2 star because the waitress seemed liked she wanted to give a darn but management...
Read moreI haven’t been to eat here in YEARS!! But for some dumb reason I thought it would be a good idea to go and pickup some sushi for my dinner since I was the only one home that night- I am including photos of the food so you can see the amount of avocado they gave me for what they charged me and I should have went to the grocery store and picked up a pack of imitation crab for $1.00 and made my own crab salad since I was charged $6 freaking dollars to put it on top just ONE of the Q-rolls!! Once the girl told me the total- I remembered why I stopped going there- Their sushi isn’t worth the prices they charge- She asked if I wanted to cancel my order but I said no since they already were making it- I just told her that I just would not ever come back there!! A few minutes later she asked if I would like a soup (chicken broth) or a salad and I said sure- I will take the soup (which wasn’t even half full)- Then a few minutes later she said I got an extra surprise with the soup- like it broke them by giving it to me!! I guess if you are hungry and don’t want to drive out of Locust then you could eat here- otherwise it would be worth the 20-30 minute drive to the other surrounding cities where sushi is fresh and taste great and doesn’t cost half as much!! Save your money- go...
