First the shared bathroom with the convenience store was disgusting. The urinal was stained in a way that it looked like someone used it wrong. After that I didnât really feel like eating but I went there for a dipped cone. I went up to the counter and right behind me was the assistant manager of the convenience store the Dairy Queen woman ignored me even though I was first. The assistant manager of the convenience store said something to the Dairy Queen woman about the womenâs bathroom having a problem. She immediately walked away from me, waving her hand at me like âdonât bother meâ and sent to the womenâs bathroom with the guy. So now Iâm supposed to wait for her to go look at the dirty bathroom and then wait for her to come back and make me a dipped cone. I thought about saying something to the both of them but I just left. It was disgusting, disrespectful, and unprofessional. She ignored a customer to go flirt with the manager guy in the dirty bathroom. If this is how diary queen trains and hires people then they donât understand customer service. Iâll never step foot in there again. This occurred around 4:30pm on Wednesday October 22nd. Terrible employee, horrendous customer service, disgusting bathroom conditions. I wish I could give it negative stars....
Read moreAfter being open for over a year this place still can not run efficiently. The store is a great starter job for high schoolers, however you can't depend on teens to run a business, but sadly that's what's going on. Managers are constantly changing which speaks volumes about the upper management. As a previous assistant manager for this location I can confidently state that the sole purpose of this location failing lays on the district "manager" Lisa. Calling her a manager is a complete stretch of the word because she is clearly clueless on what manager does. I've witnessed her allowing an employee under the influence of drugs work his shift and allow him to continue employment. I have witnessed mold in the ice cream machines, I have witnessed expired food products be served and the pest infestation seems to be little to no concern. However the owners of the store and attached gas station, Albemarle Oil Company have no clue of the lack of managerial direction she provides which is sad as I know they'd be mortified to hear what goes on behind the scenes. Consumer wise I would advise to steer clear of this location for you food and sanitation wellbeing. Until management is replaced and sober staff is employed it will be a matter of time before customers...
Read moreThe ice cream was runny even though it was a blizzard. I paid $8 for a large blizzard. I had planned to use a coupon card but I was trying to use it at the wrong location so I said, well, I don't want to have sat here for no purpose so I will buy it anyway! The girl came to the windows and flipped it upside down, then flipped it back quickly and gave it to me. ALL OF THE ICE CREAM WAS MELTED. This was at 10pm. Therefore, it was not due to the heat of the day. Then I tasted it. It tasted like bathroom water. I wiped off the spoon and tried it again, thinking it was the spoon. Nope, it was nasty ice cream. I had driven away and down the street, cleaning the runny mess off of the cup, my steering wheel, and me. By the time I tasted 2 spoons of it. I refused to turn around because it was a waste and they were closing. Long and short, I love a LOT of places in Locust. This is NOT one! Go to KFC down the street. Their customer service is on point, and their food was wonderful even at closing time! Ask for Chris G at KFC he was kind. No, I do not know him personally, but when you get good customer service, then you...
