Locust ABC Store — Local services in Locust

1st off I've never left a review on anything I'm aware of, so here it goes. This shop at the inception was great , good selection and service . I have family that drive for over an hour to this place to buy items because of the selection. With that being said folks at this store will not be honest with you. Someone will buy a product , you go in to purchase said product and they will tell you they are out. Point in question friend of mine purchased a Jack Daniels 10 year. Since it was a rare item I sent my brother in law in , because I was out of town, literally 10 min after to be told they didn't have anymore. My mother in law goes in 2 days later ,asks same ques ,gets told same answer. My wife goes in the next day , same story . I go in today and ask I'm told they sold the last bottle today and they have had it the ENTIRE TIME, but only put it out on occasion. You lied to 3 of my family members and then tell me you've had it , but didn't put it out. Not only is this unprofessional but down right disrespectful. I will not be shopping here anymore , my family or my friends in Locust if I have anything to do with it won't be either . I'd rather drive 3 hrs to buy Boones Farm then put up with dishonesty. Visited here 4/1 I went in to get a few bottles and apparently my ID was expired which I had no clue and I felt like they purposely were trying to embarrass me about it especially the younger gentlemen who could have came up a little more quietly instead of yelling to the lady ringing me up about it anyways I had my boyfriend go in for me after that and so I handed him money in the parking lot and the guy who I assume is the owner gets there (older guy) waits for me and my boyfriend to get done talking and says there is no soliciting it’s not allowed to my boyfriend as he proceeded to head in for work unprofessional. The employees in this store were not wearing masks and they were not ensuring the customers wear them either. When asked about it the man at the cash register became rude and told me that it is not a law and they he will not debate it. There is a strict masks mandate in the stat of NC that requires all business to require masks be worn by patrons and staff. This store is not following that mandate. Furthermore, they refuse to even put one on when asked. The ABC store in Locust does not care about the customers or their community. I will not give them my business ever again.
