Frosted Flour — Restaurant in Lodi

I live in San Francisco…since I was planning my birthday celebration in Lodi, and as a (CWP) Certified Wedding Planner, I thought it would be a great idea to try this place out to make my birthday cake seeing that they had good reviews and pictures!

Unfortunately…that was further from the truth!!

The young lady who “assisted” with my order was incredibly impatient, demanded, super rude and she had a massive black eye.

Long story short, they gave me a much bigger cake then what I wanted. And the elements/decor on the cake were so small…the cake lacked time, effort, and creativity. It was an embarrassment!

The young woman with the black eye, stated, “For what you want on the cake, and the size of cake you want it isn't gonna work!” She obviously was in No State of mind or condition to be working! She took all of her frustrations from her personal life out on me and my order. It was sad and simply unprofessional.

I felt pressured to get a bigger cake!

Sadly, I am here to report that the cake was nothing I expected and the flavors were incorrect on top of everything else….

The cake was left with so many blank spaces lacking decorations. As far as the flavors go, I ordered Lemon with lemon cream, and a pineapple filling. Tell me why, they gave me a vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream in the center! I was so disappointed and upset!!! I didn't find that one out until I tasted the cake at the party with the other guests…so the disappointment about the cake continued at my birthday party, lol, ridiculous!

If you want your event to have the customer cake your heart desires…my advice is to go somewhere else!!!! Take my experience as a WARNING

I wanted a baby shower cake for my daughter-in-law so I had first called to ask about pricing but the girl on the phone asked if I could come in so we could discuss design more thoroughly. I came in and was greeted by one of the owners I believe who was very nice. The store smelled REALLY yummy and I could see people in the back decorating cupcakes and I'm not sure what else. Another nice girl talked with me about the cake I wanted- I was so unsure(I'm not a cake expert). She was super sweet and showed me all sorts of pictures and ideas. We finally came up with a design and I ordered it. I must say that I did get another quote from another bakery and was pleasantly surprised on how much less expensive Frosted Flour was. The exact same cake was going to cost me $50 more had I gone with the other bakery. Anyhow-when I picked up my cake, I was in such shock at how beautiful my cake looked. They far exceeded my expectations and my daughter-in-law was so happy. Not only did the cake look gorgeous, it also was so moist. I will definitely recommend Frosted Flour to...

I am beyond happy with my son's birthday cake we order in short notice.. my son loves GODZILLA everything and :: Frosted Flour :: made my son's birthday unforgettable .. two layer cake chocolate and vanilla.. OMG the chocolate was DIVINE moist rich and tasty.. the vanilla was good as well but not as rich as the chocolate was... I order marshmallow bom boms dipped in chocolate n the theme color delicious not too sweet just perfect ,the only issue the color of the bom boms was off what I asked for but over all delicious..also got their vanilla cupcakes and I bought a lemon custard cupcake n TO DIE FOR .. I love their cupcakes and my husband loved them as well it's not easy to impress him but this got him good.. thank you Soo much for such an amazing experience.. I am a loyal customer...
