Java Stop — Restaurant in Lodi

I'm usually not one to give bad reviews but here we are... This morning, I thought I'd give Java a try I've read reviews where people have mentioned that it's a long wait in the morning, but I figured since I'm early enough before work I would give it a go. I arrived at 8:15am and pulled out of the drive-thru at 8:40 am there was only 2 cars ahead of me. I would have drove away but was blocked by other vehicles if you been there, you understand the drive-thru situation is not the best. If waiting, there for so long wasn't bad enough it got even worse. The barista came out of the shop to take the order of the car in front of mine which had 2 large dogs and she started petting them and allowing the dogs to lick her hands with slobber dripping from the dog's mouth. I wouldn't mind so much that she was giving affection to the dogs because I myself love animals but what happen next is what had me write this review, the barista walked back into the shop rubs her hand on her pants because it had slobber and started making coffee right after not once did, she even considered washing her hands. when you are dealing with food you should have better hygiene methods as basic as hand washing. Working in the healthcare field we are so diligent about hygiene because we understand cross contamination especially because she was touching every handle of the coffee machine and other baristas are using the same ones and making bagels and breakfast sandwiches. I wish I knew the baristas name so I could speak to her manager. I wonder if her "sweet" tattoo on the back of her arm would help me identify who she is. I hope whoever is ruining this business sees this and teaches the baristas better hygiene methods. If I could give my experience here a negative star I would. I'm so disappointed I honestly wanted to support a small business, but I will not be...

The food was good and the drink tasted okay. But, I found out that the drink I ordered hardly had any caffeine in it. They don't use cold brew concentrate for their frappes. Instead, they use a powder. I wish they would have told me that when I ordered.

I went inside to order two bagels and two drinks.

They took about 30 minutes to bring me my order. The girls inside said that I could wait inside or outside: my choice.

But, then the other girls who make the food were confused and made everyone else's order before mine even though I was first in line.

Also, right after I ordered, the girls inside started texting right in front of me. They didn't even pretend to clean or keep working. I found that to be rude and unprofessional.

I have worked in cafes and restaurants. You never do this. If it's that slow, you go help make the orders.

I didn't like waiting so long for the orders. This cafe seems very unorganized and unprofessional.

Definitely more of a hangout spot for kids and teens.

I hope the owners implement more training and help the organization. I don't mind waiting a little while for my order, but this location's speed of service is...

I’m a truck driver and was doing my reset here at the Flying J in Lodi, California. I ordered a lrg Mocha Latte & a BLT on Sun dried tomato bagel. I called ahead of ordering via the Door Dash app to make sure I was truly ordering what I was trying to actually order ( as I’m not a huge coffee guru.. lol)…the gal that answered (wish I had caught her name) but she was very kind in helping me make sure that I had ordered what I was trying to order and answered all my questions. The coffee was Amazing and I have to be honest in saying that I’m not a big bagel fan. I had even asked her if I could possibly get croissant instead, but she informed me that they don’t have croissants, so I said that’s fine, let me step outside my box a little today. Man, am I so happy that I did!! Best BLT I’ve ever had! Just simply amazing! Thank you for the hospitality. As a trucker, it’s darn near impossible to park our rigs in places other than truck stops. Truck stops are not in the business of iced coffees not good food honestly. So it’s a real treat to come across a friendly place PLUS amazing food too! Thanks again!...
