Received a tampered box of desserts with tape poorly sealing the box and looked like tape had been removed. Notified customer service who told us they don't tape the boxes and someone else must have taped the box confirming that our package was tampered with. Shanice from customer service told us it doesn't matter if someone was inside our box of treats because each treat is wrapped. It is totally unprofessional to know your package was tampered with in shipping and refuse to send a safe sealed package of incredibly expensive treats. What's the point of buying food online if the merchant refuses to ensure tour treats arrive safely? GROSS! EXPENSIVE GARBAGE!
UPDATE 1/24/2023: This morning I received a full refund. How unfortunate that the customer service rep I spoke to lead us down this path - but at least the company is reading their reviews. I thank you for refunding us for the treats we threw away due to safety concerns. And while I read your treats are delicious I don't want to have to deal with your customer service rep again. While I didn't have to pay for them now, I still didn't have much anticipated keto friendly cake for my birthday and I've wasted much valuable time trying to resolve something so obviously wrong. Maybe would purchase in person until more reviews come out stating changes in customer service and...
Read moreI am gluten sensitive but cheat about once a week. I saw this bakery for the first time accidentally and was going to stop in and eat a wheat cookie since I had just had a wheat meal. To my surprise, and dismay, it was a gluten free bakery. I HATE gluten-free substitutes. However, I have to say, these dessert cookies and bars are all sugar and gluten free. I'm not sure how they sweeten them, with monk fruit or what... but they are well balanced with sweetness. At least the peanut butter cookies are.
My complaints about typical gluten free desserts is that they usually have a base of rice, which is sweet, then they put in the same amount of sugar that they would normally add to a wheat flour, which is savory. If you are going to use rice flour, you need to lower the sugar. Well, this place does use a sugar substitute, I assume, but instead of hitting you in the face with sweetness....they are very subtly sweet, like the desserts in Europe. Well done! I'm not sure what flours they use, but it's likely on their website. I did try the Black Forest bar. The bar itself was not sweet at all, but only the icing was. It was a lot sweeter than I like, but normal people will consider it a normal sweetness. I prefer the cookies and already stopped in a...
Read moreI’ve spent hundreds of dollars on these treats that are for the most part pretty good (an extra star for that), but are way to expensive now with price increases. Also, many orders lack consistency— whoopie pies and bars are smaller or overcooked compared to prior orders and stuff like that. For $6.50 for a brownie you want to see it consistent, especially when you are watching carbs. Here’s the thing, it pains me to write anyone a negative review, but I’ve had multiple off experiences with this company. You won’t get emails or responses for a week (or not at all) and you will have to hound them for a response, which never feels good. The owner states that customer service only works certain days and will make you wait for something they messed up on. Meanwhile, she’s posting away videos and lives on social media. If you want a strong customer base, your priority should be your customers not social media. I’ve had only partial orders shipped without any explanation, whoopie pies missing filling, serious shipping issues with no feedback, and late shipped orders. I just get a bad vibe and when I spend $120 for 18 treats it’s just not worth the headache. I hope this business realigns...
