I’m giving the food a two solely because their appleberry splash drink was pretty good. Not because their food is good. Their food, along with their service and the atmosphere…all horrible. To begin with, my husband (I’m posting this on his google account) is 6’4 and weighs a good 275 -280 lbs and they sat us DIRECTLY behind table of 6 people who spent the entire time we were at the restaurant yelling, turning their music up loud at the table, talking so loudly we couldn’t hear each other sitting right beside one another, and laughing so hysterically and loudly that it took all I had not to say something. Although it wouldn’t have mattered because they spoke no English. The waitress we hardly seen and when we did, it was some excuse of why we hadn’t received our order yet even though the people sitting behind us and people who came in way after us had already received theirs. We got asked FINALLY when we asked for our check if we wanted refills and I would like to add here that after we’d asked for the check it still took her 10 minutes to retrieve that for us. When we finally got our food …probably a good hour and a half after we ordered it…it was disgusting. There’s no way they cooked our stuff after we ordered it. My husband ordered a biscuit and gravy which I couldn’t even stomach after I tried it and all I ordered were a few pancakes with berries. The berries tasted old and so did the bananas on them. The table right in front of us NEVER got cleaned the entire time we sat there and probably 6 ppl had been sitting there. Needless to say we didn’t tip. However I do have a tip for the people who own or run this Bob Evan’s : YOU NEED AN ENTIRELY NEW CREW. The waitress and hostess just wander around aimlessly pretending to be doing things and never doing anything at all. Your kitchen crew spent over an hour making 4 pancakes that should have literally taken no more than 5 minutes ten at the very most and somehow made them taste like they’d been made 5 days ago. They also managed to turn gravy brown and salt it to absolute death. This was a terrible experience and I’m so glad we were just passing through. I have no idea how this place has 4 stars and...
Read moreI do not get out to eat very often, I cook every night! But my husband decided to be nice and take me out to eat because it was mother's Day weekend! He decided we would go to Bob Evans, and that was a big mistake! When we did finally get a table we sat there it seemed like forever so then I looked at the clock and I know we had been there at least 20 minutes before I started timing it after our order was taken. We waited then another 50 minutes! And then we got our meal which we only ordered breakfast both of us ordered a breakfast, I ordered an omelette he ordered two eggs over easy! When we finally did get our food it was cold but after waiting so long, I was starving and he was starving so we went ahead and ate what we could of the cold breakfast! And then the next day I realized I never even got my homemade bread that was supposed to be with my order! We will never eat at Bob Evans again! The table across from us never got cleaned the whole time we were there! And our waitress walked around aimlessly doing nothing but saying do you need anything oh well I'm sorry I forgot oh I'm sorry I forgot I'm sorry! There was one young girl in there that did not have any Bob Evans t shirt on! But she did more than anybody besides the girl at the counter taking the money. Our bill was $35. I even brought my own soda! Because I know most places do not serve Dr Pepper! So that is our breakfast only and he had one soda, and no one ever came and asked if we needed anything else! For cold breakfast! The restaurant was not busy, as I can see the reason why! The only thing on our plates that was hot was my husband's bacon! Our hash browns were cold our eggs were cold and the gravy was a little bit warm. Like I said the next day I realized I didn't even get my bread so I cannot tell you how the homemade bread tasted! But I do know we will never eat at Bob...
Read moreHad dinner 2 hours before closing on a weeknight. Was told they were out of coke slaw and peanut butter pie. This is the second time in the last two weeks that cole slaw was out. Was told it wasn’t a supply issue but rather that not enough was made for the evening. Peanut butter pie wasn’t available because it was frozen. Whoever is responsible for menu items being available needs to be aware of this reoccurring issue. I had the deep dish chicken and noodles. When it came it was in a medium size shallow bowl. It looked like chicken noodle soup was poured over the biscuit and mashed potatoes. It had a lot of liquid in it. The taste was ok but nothing special. It lacks seasoning. It is way overpriced for the small portion size. Will not get it again. Also, was told I couldn’t get the deep dish as a three course meal. The waitress apologized but couldn’t explain why this wasn’t an option. The staff was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately it seems they are working with nonsense decisions that was made elsewhere. Was also told that chicken pot pie was no longer on the menu. It was a Hugh local seller but apparently someone decided to eliminate it chainwide. I like Bib Evans but if management isn’t careful they lose business to other...
