Mi Mexico — Restaurant in Logansport

Visited this establishment to check out the complete facility for possibly booking a conference center event w/catering. When I was seated at the booth, I had to wipe off the bench. It had greasy crumbs all over it. I then ordered a drink and headed to the rest room to wash my hands. Another patron in there just mentioned that it took him 45 minutes to get his food. He said he would not be back. Back at my seat, I had my drink and Chips and salsa. The chips were rather dark (old grease ?). There were a bunch of kids (Employee day care) who were all seated in one booth and mostly unsupervised and screaming. What fun! The Waiter finally took our order. We ordered off of the lunch menu. Nothing fancy. 25 minutes later, we got a soggy quesadilla and what was supposed to be scrambled eggs with peppers and onions. It was hard to tell they were eggs (They were black). A child of one of the employees came and asked if I wanted a drink refill. ???? That is not professional. No Chips and salsa refill? Walking into Mi Mexico is a treat for the senses. The atmosphere is vibrant and authentic, with colorful decor and a lively energy that makes you feel like you've been transported south of the border. We took a trip into town and for lunch. We agreed to get some Mexican. I googled a restaurant and we chose this one. It was a bit difficult to find it because it was in a hidden spot. There were maybe 1 or 2 vehicles in the parking lot and we were questioning ourselves. As soon as we opened the door, it was a completely different atmosphere. It is open, modern, and the colors pop! We sit. There were a few rips on the seating. But everything looked clean. Service was good but not great. Same with the food. The meat was cooked properly. My son had a hot dog which was way bigger than a normal hotdog. He loved it. Our rice on the other hand was pretty dry and old. After we were done eating, we had to wait a while for our ticket.
