Tendrils are rising from the lake water, and mist covers us in fog and moisture as we only occasionally pop out into the sun. The fall colours are stunning in the early morning light, the roads are sparsely populated and the curves plentiful - if we had heat it world be perfect motorcycle riding. But it was cold. Very cold.
