La Bamba is an absolute gem that has brought the vibrant flavors of Mexico to the shores of Long Beach Island. From the moment I walked in, I was transported by the lively and inviting atmosphere. The staff were not only friendly but also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, making recommendations that perfectly suited my tastes. Now, let's talk about the food. Wow! Each dish I tried was a masterpiece of flavors and textures, showcasing the skill and passion of the chefs. Whether it was the mouthwatering tacos, the sizzling fajitas, or the delectable churros for dessert, every bite was a celebration of authentic Mexican cuisine. What truly sets La Bamba apart is their commitment to using the freshest ingredients, which elevates every dish to a whole new level. The presentation was stunning, and you could tell that every detail was carefully considered. I left the restaurant with a full belly and a happy heart, already planning my next visit. If you're searching for a dining experience that combines exceptional service, a lively ambiance, and a menu that pays homage to the rich flavors of Mexico, look no further than La Bamba Mexican Restaurant on LBI. It's a must-visit for anyone who appreciates the artistry of culinary excellence.

Would go agian because the food was amazing. I had the chicken soup, burrito de pollo, and mixed fajitas. Chicken soup was okay tasted like chili from Wendy's. Burrito de pollo was very good and testy with a bit of spiciness. Mixed fajitas was good aswell. Everything was cooked well with alot of sauce. We walked in and saw the sign we need to wait to be seated but the workers didnt even acknowledge us. When i asked how long they kept on saying couple minutes but ended up being about 30 minutes. We placed the order immediately after being seated and the food took about another 25 minutes. The food was decently priced. Overall would definitely recommend because of how good the food is but the service could be much better.

A nice little, local, Mexican restaurant. The pre meal complimentary chips and salsa were good, being given two different types of salsa was nice, but a little bit more of the salsa would have been better. The nachos with chicken were ok, but the cheese was as liquid cheese. Have you ever had nachos with real, fresh cheddar and jack cheese? In my opinion, liquid cheese doesn't enhance the flavor of a dish; instead it detracts from the other good flavors of the dish. Still, the nachos were ok and I cleaned my plate. While not impressed with the nachos, I still believe it worth revisiting La Bamba to sample its other offerings.

I was excited to try this newer place with my friends whom I was hosting and was mildly disappointed. I have seen some other reviews referencing the good “value” of this establishment in terms of pricing and I completely disagree. In fact I found it relatively expensive for a Mexican restaurant. One of my friends and I ordered fajitas, mine being a mixture of shrimp, beef, and chicken. Although the portion was decent, despite the 34$ price which is a lot to me, it came with 3 measly tortillas that were slightly hardened when I got them already. Although my proteins were tasty, there simply were not enough tortillas. Both my friend and I asked for more in which case our waitress said she would go get us some, almost as if this was a normal request. When we got the bill, we had been charged an extra 6$ for the 6 extra measly tortillas split between my friend and I. This would not have bothered me nearly as much if we were told about the extra charge at first. If you ask me, something made up of cheap ingredients, ESPECIALLY tortillas, should not be lacking in a dish...

I gave it a 3-star rating because I liked my La Bamba burrito but I didn't like my husband's chicken chimichanga. The waitress said that my husband's chimichanga came with cheese on it, but when they brought it, there was no cheese on it. The menu says it was a 12-inch and it was a 5-inch when they brought it for both. He told the waitress that we wanted waters but she brought us bottled water and they were $2 each instead of us bringing the filtered water in a glass with ice that was free!! It didn't even say that bottled water was $2 on the menu! We only ordered water, not bottled water!! We didn't even get ice in our glasses! The service was very poor here. She immediately asked us what we wanted to eat after we sat. We didn't even get to look at the menu yet! My husband's chicken chimichanga was $17, it should have been $12!! Not worth it. I really enjoyed my La Bamba burrito though, even though it should have been $10, instead of $15. I think they are taking advantage of the customers. Would we go here again,...
