Starting off our LBI stay, wanted some breakfast to start the day.
We read the reviews before hand, they all looked really good, especially with notes like “the best pancakes ever”
My husband and I are foodies, and firstly I can say that the pancakes were good but definitely not the “best pancakes ever”
My husband got the biscuits and gravy and he said he enjoyed them, we both got orange juice and it was enjoyable but it was labeled as a large but it was a very small cup.
My husbands side bacon came back in crumbles (we didn’t eat it) and they kindly took it off the bill.
I ordered the breakfast quesadilla, labeled with peppers onions tomatoes my mouth watered reading the description and I was disappointed to see over cooked eggs, the onions and peppers weren’t even in the slightest sautéed, just hard chopped pieces With no flavor.
Overall the environment was clean, the service was kind and attentive nothing against those two things.
But the reviews hyping up the food are most definitely people who do not cook or know food, because I was very disappointed in our 60$ breakfast.
Again my husband genuinely liked his biscuits and gravy, but also agreed that for 60$ we should’ve gotten a way...
Read moreThis was our first visit and I have to say that I can’t wait to come back. I was deeply impressed by how kind and caring the owners and the staff were. They knew practically everyone by name and you felt like you were being welcomed as a member of the family. The food was outstanding. My husband had the gluten-free Belgian waffle, which he said you simply could not tell it was gluten-free. He had the scrapple and scrambled eggs. All were delicious. I couldn’t decide between the pancakes or the French toast, so they accommodated me by offering me two pancakes and one piece of French Toast, which were out of this world. I am very picky about my French toast, and this did not disappoint! I also had two eggs over easy, which were perfectly cooked and hashbrowns, which were crispy and very fresh. I honestly can’t wait to go back. I love this place! I love the people! And I love the food! I wish I could give it 10...
Read moreI love a restaurant where I feel like family instead of a customer. First of all, the food is great. My husband had blueberry French toast and the blueberries were bursting with flavor. He also had the fresh squeezed orange juice which tastes amazing . I had a build your own omelette with mushrooms, tomatoes, ham and American cheese. I've had many omelettes over the years, but this one had the perfect balance of flavors and I ate the whole thing! Now onto the the servers. They check on you at appropriate times without being invasive and are super friendly. We also met the owner who was taking orders and serving customers. He stopped and chatted with us and is truly a wonderful person who cares about his business and loves what he does. You can immediately tell whenever someone loves what they do vs. being focused on money and profit. I wish I could give more than 5 ⭐ because that is how much we loved...
