We came to Green Field Churrascaria for dinner last Saturday. This was my second time here, my honey had been coming here since 2004. We live about 50 miles away and it is worth our time and our fighting traffic to come here!
The food is amazing. The buffet section with salads, various hot dishes and fruits is fresh and plentiful.
I ordered a cocktail that was well done. They have a nice wine and cocktail menu.
After we visited the buffet, we were ready for the meat!!
The little wooden piece painted red, green and yellow, that tells the meat people you are ready to be served, is magical. As soon as we turned the green up, the meat immediately showed up and kept coming. There was hardly any wait between meat offerings.
There were all kinds of selections offered, I can't even remember all the delicious options! Each was very well seasoned, perfectly cooked and warm.
One item that stood out was the bacon wrapped turkey. I am not a big turkey eater, but this turkey was well seasoned, very juicy and delicious!!
When we were finally satisfied with the meal, we turned the little painted wooden piece on it's side to signal that we were ready for the desert trolley! So many cheesecakes and cakes and after dinner drinks were presented to us. They also have creme brulée, which is what we each ordered. The creme brulée was perfect. The custard was very flavorful and the sugar topping was well crusted.
We left very satisfied and have already made plans to return with friends, in August, to introduce them to this fabulous restaurant!
There are some fish and pasta options for those who do not eat meat. These, too, are really good!
There is free parking in front of...
Read moreIt has been some years since our last visit to Green Field. It was Husband's birthday so we tend to celebrate all month!
It was a huge treat. $65 AYCE. We tend to stay away from AYCE but this is one exception! The grilled meats are really really good. There were lamb, skirt, ribeye, brisket, turkey, sirloin, chicken, and a couple more cuts of beef. They all had a different texture and flavor. Delicious!
The salad and side bars were also eye-pleasing.
spinach salad Caesar salad shrimp cocktail pasta salad bean salad potato salad cold cuts cheese board caprese salad cucumber salad beets rice and beans - not to be missed. Rice was so fluffy and the beans had the best taste. Not salty and well seasoned. soups - I didn't even have any just because I needed to reserve stomach for meat :)
And the Pao de Queijo (Brazilian cheese bread) - if my body allows, I would eat this all day long. Puffy, warm, and a little chewy, this little item can be so satisfying. (PSA: I saved one to accompany my espresso)
We paired our meal with Ferrari Carano Cabernet Sauvignon. It was perfect and a must. Helps the digestion.
Finished off with a round of espressos and sorbet.
Service was awesome and we were never left without meat. Definitely be prepared for some meat sweats. (We did this at lunch time, which I much rather do than during dinner. You have the whole day to burn off all the calories...
Read moreArrived earlier than normal To avoid crowds.. hostess took us to a table next to salad bar when literally 2/3 of the restaurant was empty.. since I did not want having people walking throughout our dinner I requested a table a bit further away.. she told us we had to wait.. really?.. after 20 min we were invited in to a nice table ..ok we popped the marker up for the cuts to come in.. meanwhile we got some salads.. 1 then 2 then 3 salad plates later no cuts were offered to us.. 45 min after we enter the restaurant.. finally someone stopped by and said he did not know he was supposed to take care of our table.. we had some cuts.. some good.. some not so much.. the worst was the Picanya.. right out burned meat.. but since every cut came with almost 15 min delays we ate it.. along with our dinner we had house Merlot.. big glass with minimal wine.. I doubt there were more than 6 oz.. either way when we got the check.. they charged 15 bucks per glass.. with a total of 200 bucks for a dinner for two with tip.. no desert.. next time go to a different restaurant and have a porterhouse.. chances are you will pay the same and eat better.. last half of the side dishes and trays were empty ... This place was excellent back in the day with exceptional service and prices.. the change of ownership .. Korean maybe.. was noticeable but I can honestly say it has never...
