Sushi on Fire Long Beach — Restaurant in Long Beach

Me and my boyfriend were hoping to find a good sushi place to eat while we were on 2nd street. We chose this location merely because the reviews seemed very promising. We walked in and were seated by a waitress to only be moved from it after being situated by another waitress for the convenience of other guests. I knew in my head that my boyfriend and I were better off finding a place to eat elsewhere but we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. As we ordered and received our food, the first thing we noticed was the meals being cold (we were disappointed). We asked to recieve a refund for one of the meals, and they were convenient enough to do just that but did not continue to serve us throughout the whole experience. We had to wave them down in order to get their attention just to find ourselves asking for things that were never brought to our table. Overall, my boyfriend and I had hoped this would be a great sushi bar for the two of us but the fact that this restaurant did not only have the audacity to give us cold, simmered down meals but also weak service makes me very upset. Two days after eating here I had diarrhea… then I had a fever and pimple like rash from my face down to my chest. This went on for two weeks. I finally went to the dr and I was told I had 5th disease.. I was told I would go away. It didn’t. I went to a dermatologist after.. she said it was folliculitis.. I was prescribed antibiotics.. it wasn’t until a few days later I had a worm come out of me…this was 17 days later…I went back to the first doctor said I was misdiagnosed and was put on 4 tabs of ivermectin.. I was ok temporarily ok and now everything is back. I do not have insurance and so far I have paid 500 dollars. This started may 22, 2023. Went here with a friend who recommended me the place. We got there around 6ish on a busy Saturday night. For just the 2 of us, it took 15 mins to get seated at the bar. Service was pretty good and attentive for it being a busy Saturday night. The food was delicious though. Had shrimp tempura app., miso soup, and a Pink lady roll. Shrimp tempura was fresh, not like the frozen ones, but they fried it to order. Miso was okay. The Pink Lady Roll was interesting: the salmon and scalops in it were great, and there was nothing bland about it. They season it really well with aioli, but the aioli was a little too much because the sushi crumbled on me a little.
