Dogz Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Long Beach

DOGZ use to be a place I would go to with my friends and family to go out, grab a drink and enjoy the comradery of others. Being a neighborhood bar this is the type of place you would hope that you could go to and be safe. Unfortunately over the last year this place has gone downhill and after this past weekend I will NEVER step foot in this bar again. I hope all the citizen of LONG BEACH NEVER step foot in this bar again. The fact that a bouncer can go in the back alley and JUMP a patron is completely uncalled for. THE WORST part, this bouncer kicked someone in their head to the point of them being unconscious. I don't care how "drunk" or "annoying" someone maybe, your JOB as security is to PREVENT incidents like this from happening. There is no way to justify such behavior!! Truly heartbreaking to hear that such an event can happen at a placed I loved. Definiately lost some customers and be safe if you are there anytime after...

Went here for lunch and the vibe of the place was awesome. Our waitress, Mary, was very friendly and recommended the White Sangria to my girlfriend over the red one, with which she was very delighted. We ended up splitting the Sliders, and were going to get Sweet Potato Waffle Fries seperately, but Mary suggested if we wanted to just upgrade the chips to fries instead. Awesome choice! And she brought us all the sauces they have. It was a great lunch date under $50 before tip. Our little doggie sometimes gets anxious when we go to spots like this, but she was very relaxed this time, despite other dogs being on the patio, so that was great to see, too. Will definitely be coming back!

Update: We came back for Steak Night on Wednesday, and they grilled our cuts up to a perfect, delicious Medium. Highly recommend coming with Steaks in hand...

Last night around closer to midnight, Saturday night- 8/09/2025 a drunk man grabbed my butt and the security guard, a dark skinned African American black security guard did NOTHING. I told him about it and he didn’t kick the man out and said, “He said he didn’t do anything. And his girlfriend is there.
