My 7 year old son had a priceless moment with Tavi while shopping today. We were looking for something special for him, and there was nothing he could find until we entered Tavi’s art gallery. At the register was a lovely collection of resin lighted art. My son immediately felt drawn to a red heart that lit up. My son said “I want this one because I cannot break hearts” Yes this was a special comment from a young boy.

We quickly found his grandpa because he was about to spend some special allowance to get this heart. Together, we stood ready to pay proudly from his little kid wallet, and this moment was touching for ALL.

Tavi told us about his grandmother who used to give him 25 cents a chore. The grandparent bond is universal. Tavi then took my son under his wing, told him he could pick something for his sister, a couple more little things for himself and gave him a steep discount for the heart so he could keep some of his allowance from grandpa. This man, Tavi, is a good man.

I normally steer clear of art galleries but this one drew me in. My son and I loved the Spider-Man and Batman artwork and the colorful take that was put into all of Arrellanos masterpieces. Even better was his personality and humble attitude. He cares about his community and chooses to make a positive impact in it through his art and by giving back.
