I was so excited to finally be able to try this restaurant and ended up being hugely disappointed. I went to dinner with my friend and my nephew, it was a rainy day and as we didn't have a reservation the receptionist sat us outside at a table that received rain and wind. When the server showed up, she served us poorly, we said it was our first time and we were curious to know the dishes but no information was given to us about the menu or specialties of the house as well informations about the wines, my friend came from Portugal and wanted to try a house wine or one that match his plate, however no information was passed, so we decided to look online for informations about the pasta, photos and flavor to get guidance, even in this situation the server just passed by to see if we had already chosen, this happened 4 times and no one offered some help in choosing or give suggestions; when the dishes arrived the option that my 9 y.o nephew asked was basically pure chilli pepper, but on the menu doesn't say what level or information so the pasta was inedible for a child and even for me. After 15 minutes the server decided to show up to serve another table, but with a completely different reception and approach compared to ours. Then I requested the return of the dish and asked if they could make it more mild or without spices. When it returned it was basically a pasta mixed with tomato sauce and only… ZERO flavor! It was so bad that I preferred to take it home to remake it with other ingredients. So I DIDN’T eat at all!!! Plus in addition theres these 2 busers that kept coming to our table to remove anything, we were constantly being interrupted and very annoyed by, taking away the dishes and letting a person eat the table alone, lack of manners and good etiquette, you never let a person eat alone! And to finish what left me completely DISAPPOINTED was when I asked for the bill and the server returned throwing the guest check in front of me on the table, giving me a big scare and yet again impolite since there is a man at the table! She threw it and walked away! What a HORRIBLE experience, what a HORRENDS reception I do not recommend and honestly I felt very very uncomfortable in the environment of...
Read moreI expected A LOT more given the near stellar ratings. In short, this was mediocre Italian cuisine at best. The appetizers were fine; Caprese Salad was fresh, Carpaccio was good.
The main issue was the entrees. I had ordered the special, Shrimp Diavolo, a dish I’ve had dozens of times. However, the way this place serves it is mind boggling. They give you a plate of shrimp and a separate bowl of pasta. I’ve never seen such an odd “interpretation” of a classic dish. It was unbelievably inconvenient to have to remove the tails of the shrimp and then toss it into my pasta, essentially making my own meal. To add insult to injury the shrimp were over cooked, pasta overcooked, and slightly above grocery-store-quality tomato sauce. My wife ordered the Bucatini, a cacio e pepe pasta dish. Again, this is a dish we’ve had dozens of times and ultimately let down. The pasta was over seasoned with an almost inedible amount of pepper. The pasta was undercooked, somewhere between raw and al dente. Just an extremely disappointing meal.
Service was average. The big miss was not even having the courtesy to ask how our entrees were. Will I be back?...
Read moreI'm not one to normally review but after our experience I was left feeling i had no choice. Our party of 4 came in on a Saturday night, it had been years since getting together that picking the perfect restaurant was a must. I've only heard great things about Trama's.. Pleasantly surprised we were seated rather quickly especially for a Saturday night plus we were seated in the back which to me felt like a bonus.. First and foremost, I want to say that the food and atmosphere of the restaurant were really Amazing. What i need to express is solely about our server Andrew. We waited way to long for him to greet us, we had questions about the menu that were met with an attitude and a hintymn of entitlement. By the time he came around to take our order, my friends were reluctant to mention any modifications they wanted. You can imagine my embarrassment since I was the one who wanted to sit towards the back. Our whole dinner should've been about reminiscing and catching up but it was stunted by the absence and...
