I recently had the pleasure of dining at Danny’s Tacos y Tortas, and I can confidently say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.
Service: The owners, Carolina and Danny, truly make you feel at home. They were welcoming, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. You can tell they really care about their customers, and it’s reflected in their attentive service and warm hospitality.
Food: Now, let’s talk about the food! The tacos at Danny’s are absolutely delicious. I tried the Shrimp Taco Meal, flavors were spot on! The salsa on the side for the tacos was fantastic, and you can tell they use high-quality ingredients. Every bite was a burst of flavor!
I also couldn’t resist trying the Cheesy Chicken Enchiladas which was just as amazing. Whether you're in the mood for a quick taco or a satisfying plate, this place has it all.
Ambiance: The atmosphere is casual and inviting, making it a great spot for a laid-back meal with friends or family. The vibe is welcoming, and you can tell that Carolina and Danny put their heart into creating a place that feels like home.
Value: Given the quality of the food and the friendly service, the prices are more than fair. It’s clear that you’re getting great value for your money.
Overall, Danny’s Tacos y Tortas is a must-visit if you’re in the area. The combination of delicious food, amazing owners, and a warm atmosphere makes it a standout spot. I’ll definitely be...
Read moreWhile the food here is very good, the last service I had was not. I had gotten take-out a few times, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. I'm not doing gluten right now, and a couple of times I ordered a tortilla-less burrito. I also don't do beans. So I had very tasty "burrito bowls" made up. No issues. Until the last time I went in (and I will not be returning to this establishment) when a young woman gave me grief over the fact that they don't actually have "burrito bowls" on the menu but that she'd do one for me "THIS time." Even after I told her that I ordered this item a few times in the past with no issue, she kept beating me up about it. I said, well, I'm giving you full price for a dish that I'm omitting two items out of. What is your problem with this? She was just a broken record about not having tortilla-less burritos on the menu. I finally said forget it, and walked out and haven't been back in since. I suggest ditching a place where you can possibly receive hostile customer service and going a couple of miles east over to Francis Street to eat at Taqueria Las Palmeras (1131 Francis.) Wonderful food for comparable prices, and you won't get treated like a bug. Bigger and cheaper Breakfast Burritos than...
Read moreplease understand how bad this place really was for us..... Let me elaborate sigh-
The abhorrent state of affairs at Danny's Tacos extends beyond the abysmal customer service; it plummets even deeper into the depths of culinary incompetence. The so-called "chefs" responsible for concocting this grotesque excuse for Mexican cuisine should be ashamed of their lackluster skills. It's as if they attended a masterclass in culinary negligence.
Their apparent disregard for quality and freshness is nothing short of culinary blasphemy. These chefs managed to transform what should have been a delightful meal into an unpalatable nightmare. I can't fathom how anyone with even a semblance of respect for the culinary arts could produce such inedible atrocities.
The lack of skill, dedication, and pride in their work was as evident as the sorry excuse for carne asada they served. It's safe to say that these chefs have no place in a kitchen, and their culinary insults are a blight on the gastronomic world. Danny's Tacos should consider a complete overhaul of their kitchen staff if they ever hope to redeem their...
