Real and honest review. I am honestly really bummed to be writing this review. We came here for a date night and reading the reviews I was like oh man weâve gotta try it.
Was disappointed. The restaurant itself is so so pretty! They have that going for them. The service was mediocre it was okay. I mean they got the food out to us but there wasnât much engagement or anything personable.
The food is my biggest complaint and disappointment. That would be their BIGGEST need for improvement. We wouldnât mind paying 20$ a plate and 10-15$ for a margarita if it was worth it. But honestly this gives more drive thru experience fast food but I think I would even prefer a drive thru place. The food was edible but for a luxury price I mean itâs not worth it at all. The margarita was way too sweet just full of sugar and just a weird taste. My boyfriend ordered a burrito and it was smothered with cheese but it was like fake velveeta melted McDonaldâs cheese. :/ sorry đŁ my food was just bland no flavor, the Spanish rice had like peas and carrots in it and tasted like white rice no flavor and it was a weird addition the peas and sliced carrots. Anyway, it was edible we could eat it- but for the price I would never go here again, I mean honestly not even if it was a cheap price. I would go to a taco star or Taco Bell even not here.
This is my very blunt review. Again the restaurant was beautiful such pretty artwork, if they were to completely change their food menu, cooking, and cocktail creation, maybe I...
Read moreStopped in here for a late lunch just as happy hour was beginning (apps and chips are half off!). Started off with some fresh chips and salsa (8/10), the queso fundido (8/10), and the house marg (8/10), all of which were way above average. The salsa has a good flavor without too much heat, and the queso was stringy and melty in the best way. For the main entree, I ordered the chiles en nogada, a dish Iâve seen and heard about but never tried before. It turned out to be one of the best Mexican entrees Iâve ever had (9.5/10!) and Iâve had a looooot of Mexican food in my life. I was genuinely surprised at just how exceptionally tasty the dish was - every component added just the right flavor and texture profile to the overall dish without anything being âtoo muchâ. Even the rice and beans were excellent. My server was very warm, friendly, and provided just the right amount of efficient service without being overbearing. The restaurant has a nice ambiance, was very clean, and the booths and tables are well spaced (bucking the trend of venues providing less and less space per table, thankfully). As an added bonus, the neighborhood surrounding this restaurant is super cool and walkable so if you eat and drink too much, you can work it off afterward. This is my new favorite Mexican joint in the Boulder-Longmont area.
EDIT: Iâve now been here 4 or 5 times and every single visit has been great. This place is legit awesome. You wonât be...
Read moreYesterday my husband and I with 3 other people went in for some dinner. However, the service was not what I expected. The waitress seemed to not know what side plates went each meal when arriving at our table with the food. Another waitress spilled the chili from the molcajete on someones pants from our party & then said âoh now I need to pay you to take that to the laundry matâ still making a joke out of it like if it was funny to get the food spilled on. Then another waitress said she was going to take the basket from the chips because we ordered a lot of food for just the 5 of usâŚ. At the end of the day as long as we pay our meals she shouldnât care how much we order. Even if we order the whole menu and pay for it, thatâs our problem. Yet they still have the audacity to add gratuity like if the service was so great. I usually tip greater then the gratuity but this...
