You question anything, ask for any fixes, or point out the order is messed up, you start receiving their condescension.
I used to tip $2 for $5 latte, and I quickly had to adjust that down to a dollar. Amazingly, even that at twenty percent is frowned upon by the berista's.
They charge over $3 for a single chocolate peanut butter cup. Considering it's made with quality and I had to use the side of my jaw to bite through it (front tooth damage), I felt it was a fair price. Even though I could get an organic equivalent at a gourmet fudge store for $2.85.
Yesterday, I went in, and the portion amount was very different. I could easily bite through it regularly. In fact, it was the same size as a reese's peanut butter cup, and you can get two of them for under two bucks. Now, in no way would I say , their's is only worth seventy-five cents, but close to 4 dollars for 1 cup, no. rarely is anyone's s* is that good.
Now considering it's one of my favorite things to get I would have overlooked their snobbery as I normally do, it even after bringing it to their attention that the portion size had changed (nd no matter how well you portion things some people make mistakes because no one is perfect), but their way of responding was to make it so loud that everyone could hear "if she doesn't like it , she can go somewhere else , maybe she should just go to starbucks" that alone demonstrates the lack of professionalism this establishment allows. At least starbucks is upfront about their money focused operations and do not try to hide it behind a "specialty we care about the consumer" facade.
Normally, they just whisper behind my back and get snooty to my face. But at least they don't make a public scene shaming a customer that spends ten fifteen dollars every day.
My only crimes are being on my phone when I get to the register, complaining about their app misfunction not providing rewards, and been a little too friendly, and chit chatty with the baristas when they're busy.
Many professional establishments take critics as a way to improve their "service" and "hospitality " to become better.
As you will see in their google responses. if not in addressing mine, they take feedback not with any humility and grace, but with an air of superiority and entitlement, where they use someone's disatisfaction as a way to belittle the consumer and brag about their high quality, super wonderful, rosy smelling, stuff. Oh and about where they get it and how it is so wonderfully sourced thinking that they are highlighting their efforts when in reality, they show they only care about what they are doing right as a way to leverage above what they do wrong.
*in response to response. Feel free to threaten. I left the other place, not kicked out, because of them shoving christian reform down my throat. I wasn't planning on returning because of how unprofessional your staff was.
Your need to address external issues shows the extent of your inability to take accountability.
I have nothing more to say, you have...

I've worked in the service industry at a variety of different kinds of restaurants for the last 5 years. Out of all of the places I've ever worked, I have never felt more welcomed, valued, respected, and excited about the environment, customers, and employers as I do at Cavegirl. The owner is one of the hardest working and dedicated women I have ever had the privilege to be around let alone work for. She treats me not only as a valued employee, but as a friend more than anything.
Not only is the environment and atmosphere the best I have ever worked in, but the quality and effort put into creating said atmosphere, as well as all of the beverages and foods, is remarkable. The word dedicated does not do justice to the kind of effort that goes into each and every product served and, being one of the ones that gets to make a lot of the food, I can say this with full confidence.
One of the main problems that I've come up against while in the service industry, is being treated by my employer as though I am replaceable. Whether that's through how much they pay me, how much they listen to my suggestions, respect my scheduling availability, or follow through with anything promised in the initial interview, it's not uncommon to feel extremely undervalued. And that's what makes Cavegirl Coffeehouse so unique. From the get-go, my availability has been respected and my employers frequently check in with me to make sure that nothing has changed regarding it. When a friend of mine unexpectedly passed away several weeks ago, they found someone to cover my shift without hesitation so that I would be able to attend her funeral service and have time to deal with my grief. I cannot express what that kindness meant to me. In addition to this, the pay is exactly what was expressed to me and, due to customers tips, has many times been over what I expected. The work to pay ratio is extremely fair and not once have I ever felt that me or any of my coworkers were expected to do more than what we were being payed for. The bottom line is that this is the first work environment I've been in that I have every intention of remaining at long term. Working here is not only a privilege but a joy. From the way that I am treated by my employers to having the opportunity to create and serve such high quality products, I can safely say that I have never been happier at any job I've had before.

Read moreQuite possibly the best coffee house I've ever been in period! I am from New Jersey and I wish we had a coffee house like this! The whole place is gluten free and they really take pride in everything they serve. I ordered a vanilla latte that was delicious. And a 1/2 of an avocado with a fried egg and some greens that was so spectacularly seasoned, it just was delicious and so healthy! The vibe is so awesome. There's cool inside seating, an amazing outdoor seating area and a deck that you can have your coffee on in the beautiful morning sun. The menu for breakfast and lunch is carefully thought out, nice and light and healthy. I also had a pecan blueberry gluten free donut that was the best donut I ever had and I am not kidding you. I had a beautiful healthy breakfast and then a beautiful healthy donut! Look at my pic and you will see why I couldn't resist! I found my new happy place when I am visiting my friend who lives here in Colorado. I will be here every single day until I leave and go back to boring New Jersey. I will miss this coffeehouse! Oh, and the staff are so kind and helpful and fun. I just love this place! It's perfect! Don't change a thing. I wish they had T-shirts to buy because I would wear...
