EDITED NEW REVIEW: Put simply - this place is a joke. I don't mean to be impolite, but aside from the Taco Bell near the mall I don't think I've ever had a more unpleasant experience at a fast food restaurant. This new review is based on two separate experiences. The first was parking in one of the ordering spaces, and waiting for my order; this was a corn dog and a limeade. It took over 17 minutes to receive my order, I know because I was watching a YouTube video to pass the time, the time code when I paused it as they brought my food was 17:32. They did not apologize for the wait. The girl didn't even say anything, she just handed me the food abd wordlessly walked away. The second time, I went through the drive-thru; I ordered a single combo meal this time. This time it took over 10 minutes for them to even say anything at the window, when they finally took my payment I was told to wait as my food was still being cooked, no apology, nothing, just "could you pull forward? Your food is still being cooked". I complied, noting on the receipt it said my order was placed at 5:44 PM abd checking my phone it read 5:57 PM. I waited another 7 minutes for my food to be brought out, again with no apology for the wait.
I'm not certain when this occurred, but this Sonic should not be considered fast food. They may also want to work on teaching their people some basic service etiquette. I'd give zero stars if I could.

This review is based on six experiences over the period of four months.
The first was at 9:00 am during breakfast hours; it took a little under five minutes after I pressed the order button for anyone to answer. I ordered a breakfast toaster and tots meal. I was left waiting for ten more minutes before they came out to tell me my order was on the way and apologize. Three minutes later my order arrived. This is almost twenty minutes waiting, and I was the only customer at the location during this time. The next three times I visited were attempts to use the drive-thru at various times of day, usually on a weekend, and each time there were never more than two or three other cars present at this location, though I needed to wait almost twenty minutes yet again, and all I would be ordering was a limeade except in one case where it was a limeade and chili cheese fries. The fourth visit was a larger order I tried to pickup for my brother's kids and family, but this time they didn't answer the order button at all, and I needed to knock on the door to get attention. The order then took over ten minutes to be completed, and while it was a large order I can't believe the slow service at a location which claims to be fast food. The recently opened Culver's cooks their food fresh and still has faster service. The fifth and sixth visits were attempts to order food late at night, this has been in 2018. Once was at 9:30 pm and the next was just after 10:00 pm. Though both their posted hours and hours online say they are open until 11:00 pm or later most nights, on these final visits I would press the order button only to be informed they had already closed for the night. When asking why, on both occasions I was told it was due to "technical difficulties".

Read moreI hate when Googlers only leave reviews when they've had a bad experience, but I can't be silent anymore about this place. Starting with the obvious, why do I still patronize here if I've had such consistently bad experiences over the last 3+ years? Well, my husband insists. He's a fan of a couple of menu items so I need to give him his turn every once in a while. Knowing that, my issues fall primarily into two categories - availability and attention to detail.
If I order via DoorDash, the corn dog shows nowhere. It's not available at all.
Attention to detail: Approximately 50% of the time, items are missing from our delivery order. Often it's ice cream but not always.
As a post-note, my husband - usually the one who is behind Sonic still getting our business periodically - just walked over to me and complained that his foot long hot dog didn't seem cooked all the way. He specifically described it as, "lukewarm meat jell-o". So I guess consistency of food quality is also an issue.
All of these things are EASY to fix. I hope ownership / management takes this feedback in the constructive manner it's attended and fixes these things so we can continue to patronize.

Read moreOrdered a mini Oreo& Reese's master shake from the menu, listed at$3.29. The employee charged me for extra Reese's at$3.88. I explained that I didn't want extra Reese's, I just wanted the menu item as seen in this picture. They told me they can't make price adjustments, and I explained that I didn't want a price adjustment, I just wanted them to honor the menu price. The manager came out to my car, where I pointed out what I wanted and the price. The manager got pretty nasty at that point, told me he was charging what he wanted, scared my kids and said he was denying me service. (Literally, as we were driving away, my kids said, "That was really scary.") Won't be returning.
Pro-tip: The employees at Culvers are always super polite. I have even seen them have the patience of saints with truly belligerent people (I can promise that I am not one). They also have the same shakes. We got bigger ones that ended up actually being cheaper than Sonic because of a promotion they were running. Save yourself some irritation and go to Culvers.
Response to owner: I did ask this employee for the customer service number, and he told me "No, I'm not giving you that, you can come here and talk to the owner tomorrow."
